My wife and I have been to La Mesa a handful of times and have never been disappointed( including our second date, its a great date spot). We drove by and stopped for dinner on a whim and were promptly seated even without a reservation (around 545 pm). Attentive service and quick food service, considering how freshly the food is prepared. Shrimp ceviche, mahi mahi, and coconut shrimp were delicious. I'm ready to visit Ecuador now. We will be back!
Located in a quiet neighborhood with a very nice outdoor patio. Seems frequented by locals of the neighborhood. We happened to be there when there was live music, and it was lovely to listen to while eating.
Everything is labeled vegan or vegan option on the menu. Many items need to be changed to be vegan, but the food is great and comes out fast. Staff is knowledgeable and there is one vegan server that I know of.
