I am so grateful to have the Guthrie here in Minneapolis, in the heart of the city! The repertoire makes for a great season every year, and they so deserve to be sold out every performance. The building is an architectural marvel, and you rarely feel crowded. There are plenty of restaurants and hotels nearby, as it's downtown Minneapolis.

Vegetarian options: Several of us dined before going to see A Christmas Carol. Every food item that we ordered was delicious. I had the halibut and it was outstanding. Our server was very good as well. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I'm not sure what has happened here. The service has gotten very bad. We have given it a couple tries this year and been disappointed both times. No contact after being seated, the server never asked to refill or order more drinks or check on us at all, no offer to order desert and like pulling teeth to get your check. That being said, he had many tables all around us. The experience here has been in steady decline for several years. We will spend our restaurant dollars someplace else nearby when we come here for performances.

All the restaurants around were full so we came here before a show. There was a big piece of plastic wrap in one of our salads AND the salads (two of us in our group of five had salads) were pretty rotten (lettuce was turning yellow even BROWN). Ravioli was ok, mac n cheese was decent, pork sandwich was good. We complained to the waiter (good service) and we were directed to the manager. She got us all free drinks and gave us the rotten salads for free. She then came by to let us know that it was “Yellow Kale” as in that is a “type” of kale. Upon googling this, we found that yellow Kale does not exist. Good place to go if you're desperate for food!

Sorry, but Level Five Cafe´ is just not up to par with the outstanding performances of the Guthrie Theatre stages. Menu is limited and therefore shoud be changed up from time to time. Food that should be hot is always lukewarm or cooler. Often no bread left, and desserts aren't that great. The wine however was fine.

The food has always been good; I appreciate the changing menu; mall portions and perhaps a bit overpriced, but worth, with the east of being at the Guthrie pre-theatre. Service has always been just fine. No complaints!

The kitchen was already out of the entree we selected even though the restaurant was not full and it was still early. Considering the menu is fairly limited to begin with, this was a disappointing start to the meal. The service proved to be even more disappointing - no bread was offered before our meal even though we heard it being offered to tables around us, the server never checked back to see how we were doing and not realizing salt and pepper are not pre-set on the tables I ended up eating a rather bland baked potato. When asked if we wanted dessert, we said we wanted to take a look at the options. We made our choice and proceeded to wait patiently while the waiter served about 6 other tables around us and ignored us completely for about 15 minutes. We finally gave up on ordering dessert and just asked for the check. Food was good but not a value when coupled with the poor service.
