Oh hi

***UPDATED 10/17***
I walked by this location just after 11am when they opened and saw they had what seems to be new staff and a redesigned menu. Since they just opened and it was dead inside, I decided to give it another try. I will say, my experience was FAR better than what it was a few years back. The guy helping me at the counter was very nice and courteous and the food, as well as the portions were great for the price. Perhaps they took note of all the negative reviews and addressed it? Or perhaps it was a coincidence. Either way, I will return to give it another try. I ordered a burrito and it was massive. The chips they gave was also a really decent size. My own minor grip is that I wish there was more guac since it was in a 2oz cup.

The attitude of the staff here has become very crappy in recent years. I went in today to get their $2 taco special but it had changed to $3 and Mexican style tacos only. No big deal.

So i get my tacos and ready to pay and the the total came to $22 for only 4 tacos! The woman said "these are American tacos so they're more" I pointed that they're corn tortilla tacos. She said that because I added sour cream to them, they're now American. The offer says NO WHERE on the signs inside what ingredients were ONLY allowed.

Food is good, better than other places. But the service and the cleanness are not good at all. The bathrooms are always dirty. And the parking lot is not very safe. The location we went to at 801 Lake Street Minneapolis. The parking lot is in the back of a laundry business and a liquor store. There are homeless and some others drinking.

The lady working building the food was very unfriendly and anything but helpful. Had a bad attitude and not customer friendly in the least. I would not want her representing my company. I had stopped in as a first-time customer and was thinking ok, this might be a corporate catering opportunity, nope not after what I just experienced. They wanted nothing to do with being friendly or helpful. Then she even got my order wrong, after trying to correct her I just gave up. She was very rude. Then when the cashier gave me my total, I was shocked, this was a lot of money for two tacos and a side of chips/queso. I will not be returning to this location and now I understand why it was so dead, when Chipotle was slammed. I walked out of Chipotle’s line to come here, and I regret it still that I did that. Also, as I'm checking out I look back and the cook is standing at the food prep line eating his lunch for everyone to see in plain view…..that must be some violation of the health & food safety inspection codes!Hopefully sharing my experience will save others from the same and wasting a lot of money on subpar food.

Overpriced garbage. Oh, they love to advertise their Tuesday Tacos for $3 each. Wow. Big 50 cent savings on each taco. Then, it only comes with little on it. I didn’t get a soft drink at 3.50. The employees seem to resent I didn’t spend more. I won’t waste my time or $7.00 again. In fact, I hope to see every City Center eatery close down. They charge exorbitant prices due to pay their rent and the food costs is just not worth it anymore.

Terrible service, and the food isn't a good enough value to make it worth it. They don't open on time, just act as if there isn't a group of customers standing outside, and only opened after we called to ask if they were going to, then we stand inside as they ignore us, and then let you stand there, the order right there next to them getting cold, while they just ignore you and keep prepping.I used to work in restaurants and I was in food prep, so I understand the importance, but when the customer is in front of you and their food is too, and all you need to do is step eight inches to the right and ring them up, but instead you act as if they're not there, that's just rude.

Ugh, this restaurant has always been priced high, but I just had a disgusting experience. I just got back to my office with a veggie bowl and a coke (more than $20 with tip), and I’m throwing it away. First there was a hair in my bowl, which tried to convince myself was mine, until I realized I was wearing a ponytail (gross), and then on bite #2 I realized the cheese was moldy. I literally just got back from buying a replacement lunch. Would have emailed this to Los Ocampo instead of putting on social media, but I got a bounce back that they only accept emails from certain addresses.
