Yikes, not what id hoped for. I cherish this cuisine , not good for to go food. They gave small portions for 4 people servings. Way over seasoned. No variety. Not what was paid for. This is what I found when I opened the container.

The food is delicious. And staff excellent. Very clean, cheerful atmosphere.
Authentic Ehtiopian cuisine and that too vegan. Right in downtown Minneapolis. It's a family run fine dine. Starters, main course, drinks and desserts. The set of parents and 2 kids take care of everything. Very welcoming and warm. The wife handles to kitchen, the rest double up for taking orders and service. Anyone wanting to taste and enjoy Ethiopian food, this is the place. Nidia, the daughter is soft spoken and good at helping us to make choices to order.
Tasty food and the portions are good. The veg platter is good, with variety of 4 or 6 kinds, the Firfir is a killer item. The drinks made of barley and flaxseed are just delicious. Injera, the bread, is super cool and out of the world 🌎.
The seating is simple and effective. Rhe interior is no frills, basic showcasing Ethiopian spices and coffee. Parking space for about 8 cars, at the back.
We stopped here for lunch and split the sambusas and medium veggie sampler. The flavors were excellent and for $34 + tip, we were stuffed.

This was a delightful experience and a truly delicious meal. We had a group of 6 and shared 2 orders of sambusas and 2 orders of hummus+pita then the family sized platter as the main. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend for vegans and non-vegans alike!

First time in, ordered the Awase tibs, and Dulet for our main course it was so incredibly good. Dulet is spicey and paired so well with the greens. My partner had the awase tibs and thoroughly enjoyed them. As well as the sambusa as the app which were perfectly crunchy and spiced. Food is well worth the price and the staff was kind, and courteous. Will be back to try more off the menu.

Wanted to support local restaurants that are suffering and decided to try Lulu as we like Ethiopian food. It was great! Server was lovely. Food delicious. My spice tea was excellent and the sambusas were really good with an excellent dipping sauce. We had a medium sampler plate with a beet dish, a carrot and green bean dish, a yellow lentil dish and a potato dish with spices. All served on injera with extra injera provided. I finished the meal with baklava, which was different than Greek baklava, but very yummy. All in all, a wonderful meal.
