Minneapolis can be intimidating for a small town Wisconsin girl like me. I was looking for a pub that felt like home and Mackenzie’s was exactly what I was looking for! Such a warm and cozy atmosphere. I was impressed by the very unique selection of seasonal cocktails and the pretty diverse menu (so many things looked good it was hard to decide). I’m still thinking of the Thai peanut wrap days later, seriously some of the best sauce I’ve had in my whole life. I can’t wait...
Two kind strangers gave me a free drink. They were respectful, happy people. The Minnesota Timberwolves were part of the good vibes—maybe a game was on. It was a moment of kindness and joy.
Cute place near First Ave and Target Center for a drink. Food is decent, if a little pricey, but that's Downtown Minneapolis for you. I really love the decor here though. As someone with some Scottish heritage, I'd definitely say it reps that aspect well.
