I had the pleasure of speaking with Tyson over the phone while making our reservation at Maison Margaux, and he was absolutely wonderful! He was so pleasant, kind, and professional, and he made the process feel effortless. His warmth and attentiveness truly stood out, and it has made us even more excited to celebrate our anniversary dinner here! Thank you, Tyson!

Unfortunately, my first visit to this restaurant was also one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. We were celebrating a birthday, and earlier that day my friend called ahead to arrange a surprise bottle of prosecco for the table. She confirmed details and price with the hostess to avoid any confusion or surprises.

When we arrived, the server came over and asked if we still wanted the bottle—so the surprise was already ruined. But the real issue came when he returned and said that this was “the cheapest bottle we could find.” It was incredibly rude and left my friend embarrassed in front of her friends.

She spoke to the host and possibly a manager about how inappropriate and embarrassing it was, and their solution was to bring the server back out to apologize—though it was really it was her explaining why it was inappropriate. After that, the server barely acknowledged our table for the rest of the evening. He didn’t check in on us or ask if we wanted more drinks until it was time for the check—at which point he awkwardly asked the table who would paying for the prosecco.

This is not how a restaurant should handle a special occasion—or basic service. On top of that, the vegan options were poorly described. For example, two of us got the pot au feu, which was listed as including legumes and grains, but both of those ingredients were missing from the dish.

The atmosphere was nice, but that’s about the only positive I can share. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially if you’re celebrating something important.

Bland and uninspired.

I dined here last Monday and was greeted well by the staff. I do not blame them for the poor service.

The bread, although staged as a course based restaurant, was brought late after the appetizers and was quite dry and cold.

The appetizers, the raclette platter and the salad were ok at best. The only thing i'd say that saved the salad were the fresh chopped onion and berries.

The main course is where my experience dropped from about a 4/10 to a 2 or maybe a 3/10. I ordered the homard au pot and my friend ordered the quo au vin blanc. The chicken was neither dry nor juicy, under-salted and the usually very delicate light nature of this dish was killed by a very heavy potato mix or puree on the plate. It wasn't seasoned well or had any standout features for a dish thats supposed to have complexity. Moving onto the homard au pot. My least favorite dish out of all of them. This dish was a blended meh of too much salt and not enough of any flavor to stand out from all of the mellowed out soupy slush of ingredients. I had to use some of the table bread to make it bearable to eat.

After seeing our table with food that was just picked at, the server asked us how our food was and after we said it was ok he want to go grab his manager to let us give some constructive feedback. They gave us a desert that saved the night unprompted and bid us farewell after promptly scooping up our plates and getting the check.

$140 total $25 tip service was good, runners were slow and will not come back again.

Dissapointing food and service. We had a table in the basement which has a supper club vibe and ordered a variety of entrees to share. Aligot (small cheese mashed potatoes, maybe the best thing I had), Homard au pot or lobster pie (bread pie with green beans and a soup inside, didn't find and lobster), short ribs (well cooked but flavorless), Thin Crudo (thin slice of fish drizzled in something - like nothing). Drinks took over 20 minutes to get and my friend tried to order a drink off their online menu and apparently that was out of date and couldn't be made. Service was slow and sporadic, at one point they cleared half the table but left dishes for 2 of us until we left. It was pretty easy to talk until a group sat next to us and we were all leaning forward to hear each other. Love for the food can be a personal preference but the service here would cause me to skip this place in the future.

Wow! What a lovely, well appointed space! The service was impeccable (especially our server Patrick!)...never a dirty dish or empty glass of water for more than a few seconds, rare to find that attentiveness. The cocktails were fabulous. Most of the food was wonderful and flavorful, but a couple items at the table I wouldn't necesarrily write home about. People seem to comment on the pricing, but for this quality of a restaurant/experience, I thought it was approachable. Would definitely recommend making a stop here!

From the moment I arrived, Maison Margaux has been nothing short of wonderful. The service was warm and attentive, the food was absolutely delicious, and the people made me feel so welcome. They even provided me a space to pray Asr, which meant so much to me.

The atmosphere, paired with the beautiful weather, made my day feel like a little slice of paradise. Everything about my experience was thoughtful and uplifting—I truly enjoyed every moment.

I can’t wait to come back again soon. Thank you, Maison Margaux, for such a memorable and meaningful day. 🌿✨

This place is fantastic. Great food. Great drinks. And the ambiance is sophisticated but friendly. Also, try the speakeasy bar in the basement. I definitely keep coming back. And now they have Tarte tatin, the best French dessert. Don't miss it. Also, kudos to the light designer: soft, warm, indirect light. Pure perfection!😘🤩

I had high hopes for this place, but was left sorely disappointed. The service was insulting at best, I was one of a few people in the place, so it should have been easy to receive attentive service, and wrong I was. It took nearly 15 minutes of waiting before the bartender finally came and asked what I wanted to order, they were too busy socializing with other co-workers it seemed. I had to wave them over just to get their attention, which I feel is tacky and unnecessary to have to do. I asked to start with the 'petit' version of a salad but later found on my bill I was charged for the full version. The menu said bread service was included with entrees however I had to ask a server to get me some bread which came after I was almost done.

I'm in the industry myself so I understand and can be flexible, but this experience was just sort of embarrassing really, for the price.

We had a nice experience at Maison Margaux. The atmosphere was great. Our waiter, Raul, was excellent. We started with the endive salad, which was excellent. We also asked for bread service. We found out later that it was $10 for the three pieces of bread. Bread service at many similar price point restaurants, like Zelo, is free. My wife had the Beef Bourguignon. It was more like a short rib dish. The meat was good but not as tender as other short rib dishes she has had. I had the lobster pot pie. It was a unique and tasty dish. We would definitely go back.

Maison Margaux has become our go-to place to celebrate special occasions. The service has always been unparalleled to any restaurant we’ve been to - with lots of personal touches. Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary, and the staff made sure we had our favorite table in full view of the open kitchen, wrote a note, and a celebratory toast of champagne waiting for us. Several people stopped at our table to personally congratulate us.

The food and drinks have always been on point. We love taking advantage of the “choose your own adventure” cocktails alongside favorites like the steak au poivre, which is consistently excellent.

We keep returning to Maison Margaux because it feels like a true escape. We are always so well taken care of - amazing food and service, without any fussiness or pretentiousness.

This was the first time I had been to Maison Margaux. I previously went to Berlin jazz club for an early evening show, and then made a reservation for after the show was possibly going to end. It ended up that I was about 30 minutes early, but they could seat me right away. The food taste, texture, and aroma is exceptional. I had the scallops ($25) and they were seared in a white wine sauce and maybe a cheese. Very succulent and a little browned. Delicious. The only ding I have is the price of $25, but if you are treating your spouse, it’s worth it. I also had the short rib (maybe $39). That was my preferred flavor and is a “good value” if there is one at Maison. There is (I don’t know the word in English) reduction of beef stock or au jus type sauce that makes the beef very tender while not too salty. I would definitely return for that. There is free bread service with whipped butter that is good. You might expect the bread to be what American baguettes are like with hard crust, but this was soft with a coating of flour. It didn’t taste like sourdough. The only other second ding is that Maison charges for refills of soda, which is very frustrating. There was a couple at the next table where the woman was visibly pregnant and they had a cappuccino and macchiato. I don’t know if she would have preferred Diet Coke. You do get still or sparkling water, so that makes it a little better. I will definitely return with someone who enjoys finer dining or have a larger party. The staff were hosting a wedding reception I believe.
