Went to Marla's the Friday before they closed to relocate. We had a 2.5 hour wait and it was WORTH IT! We started with grilled plantains which were as good as the ones I ate daily while living in Costa Rica! I had the channa potato with roti on the side and my boyfriend had the j*** vegetables and tofu (except they were out of tofu). Both were extremely good and so flavorful! We had mango juice which was the perfect complement!
Everything was great and the the stew chicken Roti I got was very tasty. I enjoyed the plantains and tried the soursop for the first time and it was very refreshing. Hope they open up again so I can go back and try other dishes.

Wow! Great food at a very low price. Nothing fancy about this place. It's so rustic it's kinda cool. It's because it Just has good food. I had the oxtail with the beans and rice. Best oxtail I have ever had. My only complaint is no booze. I really would have loved to have a Red Stripe with my food. I travel to the Twin Cities several times a year for work and I will absolutley be back. Loved it!
