Went at the wrong time, after 8pm yesterday, they were cleaning. Burrito tasted too salty. I ended up getting sick this morning and all day today... won't return. ?

Maya never disappoints. I can take anyone there for a meal and they always leave happy. My 5 year old daughter still remembered the buffet (from when she was 3!) and was elated to return this week. Thanks for being such a great neighborhood spot. We've been regular customers since the beginning and we're so glad you're here ☺️

First, Mexican Sunday Brunch Buffet... 10-3Second, a very nice tavern is in back with a full bar and table service, you might miss it because the street entrance is the taco walk-up for short order with excellent meats and options.Third, El Plato Maya big ests with 3 mix-and-match tacos, tamales, y/o tostadas with beans and rice, with a beer and tip runs less than $20.Fourth, salsa bar. Yum. Pink Cebolla en remolacha (pickled onion) is the spicy funky than takes your taco up a notch.Fifth, authentic flair and feeling.Anyway, this site is their best site and you should take your date there. I wonder if you can order a whole huachinango (red snapper) or mojarra frita.Friday nights, you can get a sopa de mariscos (seafood chowder) that will fix what ails you.Dietary restrictions: The counter service is mix-and-match so you can customize anything you might want. Plenty of options and the salsa bar is fantastic. There are vegetarian tamales and other vegetarian options. As always, black beans are vegetarian and pinto bean refritos probably have animal fat.

Great family owned place! We ordered a late dinner and he gave us a drink for free. You get an insane amount of chips with the dip. We all got burritos and enjoyed the meal. I had half a burrito leftover and it didn’t taste great the next day. Guac had amazing flavor- love the strong lime!

I love the food at this place! I eat here every other week or so, but sometimes it makes my throat burn. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I still think it’s worth it for the taste!Kid-friendliness: Super nice!

This isn’t a review based on food, but based on experience. We went in for a quick night cap and sat at the bar minding ourselves. Sitting next to us was an inebriated man, who began a conversation about the downfall of various things, such as food and politics. We were cordial until he started asking about our ethnicities and background, which then proceeded to an uncomfortable tirade of insults. Having never experienced such hostility first hand, I was taken aback. I notified the bartender and he promptly escorted the man out of the restaurant and apologized for our bad experience. Still in shock, he and a fellow waitress came by to check on us periodically. We stayed until we were done with our beverages and the bartender/owner covered our bill. He said “Come back soon”This night could have ended sour but the staff did everything they could to ensure we were comfortable.I appreciated their hospitality.
