The distillery had to move to Wisconsin due to Minnesota's liquor laws, but the tasting room remains open. Reservations are not necessary, and the bartenders are knowledgeable about the spirits, providing tastes of new items.
Tattersall offers a flight of gins, including one aged for two weeks in chardonnay barrels and a new Rosso gin with rose petals and berries. Their cocktail menu changes every three months. The Houndstooth, made with rye, amaro, meadowsweet, and black strap bitters, and their take on a classic gin-based negroni are popular choices. Cocktails are around $12 and $13.
The tasting room offers popcorn, pretzels, and beef jerky, but there is a pop-up Asian restaurant in the building. Tattersall spirits can be purchased in a separate room. Prices are more affordable than newer, glitzier places.
The atmosphere is relaxed and parking is convenient. Bartenders Hailey and another with strawberry blonde hair and glasses are praised for their skills, talent, and engaging personalities. Sophia, the server, is commended for her attentiveness and helpfulness.
