I'm always on the lookout for a double shot of espresso that balances sour and bitter with just enough earthy sweetness to ground it. Milkweed nailed it. Great chat with lovely staff. Lots of sunlight and plants have the space feeling airy and welcoming. What a treat.
I go here from time to time and the drinks are middle of the road for the price but it's conveniently located and a great place to take meetings.
Today I got a real iffy vibe from a (male presenting) employee, who was directing/training a (female presenting) employee and being excessively blunt, giving them a super hard time--caused me to question the culture here

Staff member Zora was spectacular. Made great coffe, with greay suggestions, and even returned my bag to me which I had forgotten. We appreciated the great atmosphere her infectious energy created!
