What a cool place! Great menu options. I loved that their PSL is made with in-house ingredients, and I will definitely go back for their donuts.

Loved this place. The vegan options were plentiful and wonderful. The tofu scramble was one of the better ones I’ve had, the coffee was good and they make their own hot sauces.

Great vegan food - both the rice dish and burger were outstanding, and the cold brew coffee was great as well. It was great to see vegan options for nearly every dish on the menu. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for meat-free dishes!

MODERN TIMES ROCKS! By far minneapolis's best kept gems! they have awesome food, huge portions for under 15 bucks! Like what? Where they do that at? There was a server there years ago that was terribly rude to my mom but she's gone now. If you want a good recommendation I suggest the voyeur melt with fries.

Amazing chai, very natural and holistic atmosphere, and ok food. They missed some of the key ingredients in the food I ordered. But all in all a neat little spot to have a slow morning with coffee, good food and good company.

Very urban chic--i wasn't able to taste the food super well due to a nasal issue, but the texture was good and when my nose us functioning again i'll probably be back to taste the food for real.

Modern Times is our absolute favorite place in south Minneapolis! Every single dish is spot on. The migas, rancheros, french toast, breakfast burrito, and kate bush bowl are all DELICOUS! You have to get one of the house iced chais too. I hope this place stays in business forever. So good.

This very well may be my favorite restaurant in Minneapolis! If you’re vegan/vegetarian or have dietary restrictions, this place is 1000% worth checking out. During our most recent visit, I had the Deadwood with tempeh (breakfast menu) and it was sooooo good. I’m literally salivating just thinking about it. (You guys.. where is your tempeh from? How do you make it so good??) Every server we’ve ever had has been kind and helpful, and it’s just such a chill, down-to-earth environment. My spouse and I make it out to MSP a couple of times a year and we have to stop every time! 🩷 Love you guys!!

HOLY CRAP THE DONUTS HERE ARE INSANELY DELICIOUS.
That's virtually all I get but I am always happy and pleased when I get them. The texture and flavors are AMAZING. Once in my belly, I am the happiest of people.

Almost every single dish has a vegan option and most things are under $15. I got the French toast on sourdough and it was great! They also have vegan raised donuts MWF with a bunch of different flavors. This place is loud and it’s busy. Will have wait times of upwards of 30 minutes on weekends.
