Staff is not welcoming or friendly. You walk up to the register and they just stare at you. No Hello? Welcome in? How are you doing? What can I get for you? Nothing… Ruins what could be a really great place. They are more interested in chatting with eachother than acknowledging the customer. The coffee itself is good, and the price point is a bit cheaper than others. Overall decent, but they absolutely need to work on their customer service.

My favorite coffee in town. Fantastic attention to coffee flavor and roast profiles. Appreciate they roast their own beans and offer the highest quality and flavorful espresso that I can find in my pursuits of yummy coffee in the Twin Cities. Staff is fantastic and committed to our community and neighborhood. Grateful for a business that unabashedly stands behind their values!

Love the lattes here, consistently so delicious! I also very much appreciate that the staff mask, It makes getting coffee from there feel safer for me as someone with a very compromised immune system. Thank you for this commitment to community care ❤️

Northern Coffeeworks is great for meeting up with friends. Though it seems tends to be quite busy and it can take time to be able to sit down after you order. I ordered the Skillet Hash flavors was awesome came out super hot and fresh, I would actually order it again but the potatoes were kinda undercooked that's my only complaint about this dish. 100% recommend!

Excellent place with solid coffee and atmosphere. However, due the number of people that come here to work, the internet is fairly spotty. I don’t get why it’s fine for me some days and bad other days.

This coffee shop reminds me of why I just love Minneapolis. Delicious coffee, friendly staff, eco conscious dish ware, community notices, ample seating, and the cutest merch. Definitely a new favorite!

This is a cute coffee spot with tons of tables to chill or work from. The whole right side has outlets so folks can charge their laptops/phone while they work. Yummy coffee - try the maple oat latte.

I really enjoyed the gift shop they have built into their shop. Hikers will have a great time here!!

Pretty decent coffee, unique flavors if you like to try new things and helpful kind baristas.
This place is severely unsettling though, at least for me as a poor rural MN bred queer. Maybe it's meant for tourists??
Decor is this weirdly sanitized nostalgia artsy thing, maybe they were going for some kind of Oslo chic but failed? Its just surreal n offputting. It's like someone tried to make it feel like a cabin but had never actually been to one before because their family didn't have a cabin when they were growing up, but rather a vacation home (derogatory)?
And you're met with a giant 2 way mirror if you want to sit in the comfortable/couch seating, and feeling like you're being watched. Everyone sits against the wall not main area if possible because the metal chairs look and are uncomfortable, and this line of gazing eyes of people adds to the unwelcoming feel.

Great and fun atmosphere at this coffee shop. Coffee was alright. I travel all around the world drinking coffee so B+ level coffee. Quick service and Great Wall art. Speciality coffee with several pour over options.
