Food was amazing and everyone was so nice! Will definitely be back! Order the Tori Karaage, you will not regret it 😍

Okome House is a charming neighborhood spot in South Minneapolis, tucked into the Longfellow area, known for its welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of Japanese dishes, including pork udon, tenmusu, karaage onigiri, and pork don buri. With fair prices and excellent service, Okome House is a great spot for lunch or dinner. The patio area is a cute spot to enjoy a meal during patio season, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
The Udon-Onigiri combo is a standout, featuring big udon noodles with a perfect bite and umami broth, alongside delicious onigiri with a good spread of filling options. The donburi, including favorites like Buta Don, is often devoured quickly by happy customers. This fast casual spot is very kid-friendly and perfect for families, offering Japanese comfort food with all the right touches. The staff is super kind and helpful, making it a cozy place to visit any time of year. Seating is limited and operates on a first come, first served basis, so planning ahead is recommended.
Overall, Okome House is one of those neighborhood gems that keeps customers coming back for more. If craving Japanese comfort food that feels both fresh and authentic, this is the spot to visit.
