Awful service! I asked the bartender if she could make an old fashioned and she replied "no" and then stared at me like an old cow looking at a new gate. I said how about a beer and she said "five bucks". Keep in mind I hadn't been to this place before (and we won't be back). It's the size of a fish bowl and people poach your seat if you get up to use the bathroom. Best to AVOID.

On New Year's Eve the bartender was awful. She was bad-mouthing customers to others people seated at the bar who had Otter t-shirts on. Half of the crowd looked like insiders - current or former employees. Very small space and uncomfortable. She refused to make drinks for people and gave no explanation. Terrible person, driving away business. We left without spending a dime at that point. The bouncer in the cowboy hat was cool though.

To say The Otter is just the best Karaoke bar in the Twin Cities is putting it mildly. All of the bartenders & KJ’s treat the customer’s with respect. I’ve never had a bad time and weekend nights are off the hook. Their happy hour Karaoke starts at 4PM on Saturday’s and is normally not too busy so it’s a good spot to start the night off right.

I have always had a great time whenever the Otter ends up in the mix. The bartenders are all excellent. The prices are decent and right in line with what one would expect. They have pulltabs, and I love gambling. I especially love gambling for charity and I don't feel bad about losing, for that reason. They have the best, non-pretentious, fun-loving karaoke. Highly recommend checking this lil gem out! Oh, and did I mention-they open at 8am!!!

Unfortunately this place only caterers to their own.They do play nice with others but in the end you are nothing to them.It is sad because loved this place, but in the end, they treat everyone as an outsiderDon't come here unless you just want a drink and move on

Very racist bar do not go there. If you're African-American, I was profiled and thrown out because someone said that I took a picture of them show them the cell phone they couldn't find a picture they apologized and the bartender came from behind the bar and said I was escalating the situationand the bouncer was no help at all when I asked for the bartenders name his response was you called the police, so I will not give you her name.
