Excellent service. Prompt, professional, and friendly. A rarity nowadays. The food was great. 4 of us shared much on the menu which was all great. The tartar was a bit tough...but then, I'm absolutely a tartar perfectionist. We'll be back.

Petite León is a dream of a neighborhood spot. Here’s what I do. I come alone (or maybe, MAYBE bring a friend). I sit at the bar. I order the Verde and probably a second one later on. I read a book and think about how much I love south Minneapolis. I order the Crudo and Fry Bread (I’ll dream about both that night). Sometimes I’ll get the tomatoes.
If I have family in town I take them here and make them walk and show them my neighborhood. We order the cavatelli and the barramundi and the tarta de queso and they all tell me they want to move to Minneapolis after eating at Petite León. I didn’t buy my house solely because it takes me 18 minutes to walk here, but it was second on my bullet point list.
Petite León, I love you.

I found most dishes too salty for my taste. The food was fine but nothing particularly memorable about the meal.

Pre Symphony dinner. Food and drink were very good. Cali made sure we were out on time. Her service was delightful and professional. Very good recommendations. We will be back.

Food: delicious and flavorful! However, some dishes were too salty, such as the Broccolini and Brick Chicken. That said, I would still recommend those two dishes (my favorites), as well as the mussels. We ordered the heirloom tomatoes as well and it wasn’t a show stopper but it was a refreshing dish. The salmon was delicious as well! The cheesecake was fine, but it is more light and whipped, not a dense cheesecake which I would’ve preferred. It also had too much salty topping.
Location: plentiful parking on the streets and the neighborhood is very pleasant and filled with cute little shops
Service: we were well taken care of during our meal and our server was very diligent in making sure our party of eight all understood the menu and gave us serving recommendations.

? 4/10 - This one was SUCH a disappointment since it had been on my list FOREVER. ?
Let's start with the good, shall we? The service was ON POINT. ? The hostess and our server were both lovely and quite informative. It was surprisingly casual given the price points, but they were darlings.
The peppers were also delightful and a joy to eat. ❤️ I just wish there had been more of them since all of these dishes were split between my friend Kris and I.
Everything else - save for the drink - was just meh and it all needed MORE SEASONING. ?Salt me up! The frites were fine and the aioli was good, but I thought the soft ciabatta was a weird match for the tartare, as it was soft on soft, and the pasta was lacking any flavor whatsoever.
The drink was TERRIBLE. ? Like, I should have sent it back awful. SO bitter and absolutely not what I expected in the least. It was vicious and to me, seemed really unbalanced. Yuck.
A neat space, but a big cost for a lackluster showing.

I love being able to just wander in and grab a chair at the bar at Petit León on a regular old Thursday night and enjoy really quality and thoughtful food and interesting wine. Grateful for this casual but cozy and refined neighborhood spot.

We went for the first time yesterday and we loved it! The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Great service. We will be back soon!
The food was very good.. i would expect that for the prices. The service was excellent. Not hovering, but responsive. It gets loud when full, which makes is difficult for people of a certain age to hear coversation.

the food was really good but took forever. took over 40 minutes to get our first drink after ordering. seemed like the place was well staffed so don't understand why everything took so long. felt bad for the server who had to keep telling us and other people our orders were on the way
We really wanted to like this place but everything fell flat. The food wasn’t great, drinks & food were overpriced and the service left a lot to be desired. We’re pretty sure our server forgot about us.
I doubt I’ll be back unless it’s by accident:-/

I thought the service was great, but I was very disappointed by the menu. It felt very limited, nothing was in English, and options that I had seen on their online menu were not available due to a rotating menu. I’m someone who likes to get their favorites each time, so I just don’t think this place is for me.

Excellent little restaurant, not a huge selection of menu items but good variety. Everything we tried was very tasty with complex flavor profiles. Highly recommended ordering multiple items and sharing. The only real complaint is that when busy, it's extremely loud and can be difficult to have a conversation. Parking is also not great, so plan on a short walk.
