Wonderful food and fantastic service. The fries were some of the best I've had, and the Shirley Temple was exceptional. The older building is very esthetically pleasing, but is not well insulated, so I was very cold throughout dinner.

Admittedly this had been on our list for a long time and there’s no excuse for taking this long, but we’re glad we finally made it in! I’m not sure if this is the new concept, but we stopped in during happy hour and we were able to try one of their burgers that I’ve heard so much about. I know there’s a lot on the menu, but this was a great start and a great value. The Happy hour burger was a single patty smash burger, with pickles, onions and cheese. The fries were good and came with a unique dipping sauce that we liked. Add in $6 beers and this was an outstanding value for our first time in. We’ll be back soon for a full dinner, but feel the need to encourage all the early birds to did your way here for awesome happy hour value. You won’t be disappointed!

We have loved coming here for a few years. I've never had anything I did not like. The mussels are amazing! We order pequillo peppers every time we go. Cocktails and mocktails are perfect. The burger special on Tuesdays is a great deal!

Fantastic food and experience! Made a reservation to guarantee a seat and they had our booth for us when we got there. Very clean tables, dishes, glasses, plates and all the staff that interacted with us were friendly and pleasant. Everything we ordered was so tasty with unique flavors and combinations. Flatbread, peppers, frites, burgers, curry sauce.....awesome! 10 out of 10. ok, the frites and burger were a little salty, (like other reviewers say) but not overly where you can't choke it down. I would definitely order them again! Best Double smashed burger I have had in my life. I just sat there for 60 minutes taking small bites and savoring each unique spice, seasoning, flavor, and goodness. Soooo glad we stopped in and enjoyed Petite Leon! Also, my wife is a baker, she's a cheesecake snob. She even loved the cheesecake as it was clear by the texture and flavor, that it was made by a pro!!! That was the first time she liked somebody else's cheesecake. Thanks ya'll!!

Went Tuesday and ordered the Burger + a drink special - a good deal. Burger and fries were well seasoned. The curry dipping sauce for the fries was a delight. Service was good.

I mean this in the highest respect - Although I know Jorge Guzman is no longer affiliated with Petite Leon, there are signs of him everywhere in the details and flavor profiles of this restaurant.

With Chilangos recent closing - I hesitantly came to Petite Leon with hopes of similarity. Everything surpassed my expectations and I can’t stop thinking about the fry bread. The cocktails have their own vibe, separate from Chilango, and are equally as incredible and unique. This is easily one of my favorite spots in MPLS now.

Recently we heard that Petite Leon was changing concepts in January, and we made a beeline to eat there again before that happens. If it were up to me, absolutely nothing would change. This restaurant has the best vibe, service, and food. The prices are reasonable. Feels like a bistro in NYC or Paris. We are so very sad that the economy can’t support this perfect restaurant. The restaurant is always full when I’m there, so I’m surprised. To the owners and chef: please, please keep your beef tartar on the menu. I order it every time and it’s the best I’ve had anywhere. I enjoy every seasonal incarnation of this dish. The tartar is generously sized, fresh, delicious and the toasted bread is for some reason memorable too (but why, it’s just bread?). Last night we had the pasta with olives and sausage and that was unusual and addictive. We’ll be back again by the end of the year, but do whatever you can to keep the tartare in 2026. Thank you for many memorable meals!

I had the cheese burger and a side of fries along with the house white.

The burger was way too salty as were the fries. I was kinda excited to try the burger as it has a reputation; it had the potential to be good. But, the load of salt really killed it.

The a bottle of the house white and it was not good either, but it stood up to the salt.

The bartender was super nice and she offered great/friendly service though. I appreciated that a lot.

I can’t say I’d go there again. It’s an expensive meal for a burger and fries.
