Best spot for real authentic Jamaican food prepared by Jamaican chefs n his brother the owner. The vibes are epic, music, bar, drinks, food, events all the time, 3 locations 1 in St Paul off wabasha that's the club location, than 26th and nicollet pimentos the main headquarters restaurant events, and vendors like THC n clothes in back of house n stage for bands...there is a quiet dining area in there as well if yu want more privacy. Last location the newest bout 2 yrs now open at lake BDE MAKA ska PKWY...that location closes for season on Oct 15th....their menu is slightly different than other 2 locations, because the lake one has a beach menu, and a open tab pub wall as long as yu have a physical debit/credit card and a ID. Nicollet location of yud like to enjoy the bar and music/events there's a door fee of $5, but restaurant side no door fee of course. Check them out. One of the nicest, most helpful managers I've encountered her name is Mariah she works as a manager at the lake location super respectful and hard worker. Highly recommend checking them out, especially every night at the lake they have different bands that come out n live play...hrs are 10-10pm. Don't be shy n drop on by

Ordered the braised oxtail from their food truck. Braised oxtail was not tender and rice and beans tasted so off. Rice was not cooked all the way and beans were overly done. Sad I spent $25 for that.

As a prior traveller to Jamaica, I love this place! For Pimento, my friends and I are frequent flyers. The food is delicious and brings back the memories from our Jamaican travels. At night, the have music and occasionally, a live band. This is one of my favorite spots in the Twin Cities.

Music was good however, the bartender refusing to serve my party, because we didn't tip was outrageous. She didn't know if we were gonna tip on our last drinks or how we would like to do it. She refused to serve us out second round of drinks and said it out loud as if tipping is mandatory and not tipping is a criminal offense.

This is the 2nd time I ordered curbside n this is the second time I had to go inside to pick up my food. Stop advertising something you aren't doing. This time the same girl said somethings wrong with the phone line.

The decor features bright colors and Jamaican-inspired accents, creating a lively yet cozy setting perfect for casual gatherings or celebrations. The ambiance is complemented by friendly staff who are welcoming and eager to share their passion for authentic Jamaican cuisine, making guests feel right at home.

The restaurant’s menu showcases a variety of flavorful dishes rooted in traditional Jamaican flavors, including jerk chicken, oxtail stew, curried goat, and seafood options. The ingredients are fresh, and the spices are well-balanced, delivering an authentic taste experience. Portions are generous, making it a great spot for hearty meals that provide good value. Vegetarians can also find satisfying options, adding to the restaurant’s appeal for diverse dietary preferences. Additionally, after-hours music creates a lively vibe that encourages guests to relax and enjoy the evening, enhancing the overall experience.

While the food is delicious and the atmosphere lively, some customers have noted that the service can be a bit slow, especially during busy times. However, the warm ambiance, flavorful dishes, and after-hours music help make up for the wait. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’ve been coming to Pimento for years, and it’s hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in Minnesota. With several locations to choose from, I’ve had the joy of trying almost everything on the menu — and it’s always fresh, flavorful, and full of that authentic island soul.

I highly recommend starting with the beef patties or vegetarian patties — both are perfectly flaky and packed with flavor. For mains, you can’t go wrong with the curry goat, jerk chicken, or jerk pork (if you eat pork). Every dish is seasoned to perfection, with that perfect balance of spice and warmth that keeps me coming back again and again.

And don’t skip their signature sauces — they’re so good they sell them to take home! The jerk ranch in particular is phenomenal and goes with just about everything.

The vibe is always welcoming, and there’s often live music in the Rum Bar that brings the island energy to life. In the summer, their back patio is the perfect spot to soak up those beautiful Minnesota days with great food, a cold drink, and friends.

Generous portions, bold flavors, and a warm atmosphere — whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch or making a night of it, Pimento never disappoints. 🌴🔥

Food was amazing as always, been coming here for years. But today the entire vibe made me not want to return.., stood at the front for 10mins waiting for service. Then the lightskin girl with the small ponytail finally came from the other side with an attitude, didn't greet us or anything. Then proceeded to not only NOT look our direction, but roll her eyes everytime we uttered a single word of our order. Not a great look for this establishment 🚮
