Always thought the beef patty was homemade until my kid seen the name brand on it. I didn’t mind paying $6.50 per patty. But these are frozen patties imported and paying $6.50 for that was very disappointing. Frozen cost for 8 is $18. So disappointing I would drive 35 minutes just for those patties 😞😕

We traveled from Virginia and someone recommended this spot to us for date night. Although the open mic night was a nice experience, we enjoyed all of the artists, the food left much to be desired. We travel all over and I've never been so disappointed in Jamaican cuisine in my life. I hope they can make some adjustments to the food because it could be a really nice spot. My dad had curry chicken. My husband ordered 4 beef patties and they were dry. The server told us they were overcooked and we could get something else. I told my husband to get the curry goat, which looked and smelled like dog food. It was not palatable at all. And the food was expensive! I don't mind paying top dollar for good food but this was a rip off. So disappointing.

I was referred to this restaurant as I was visiting from out of town. Lovely open seating and got the jersey chicken. It was falling off the bone, smokey and delicious. The slaw and sides were quite tasty as well...recommend to any out of towner

As a vegetarian I find it so disappointing that there isn't a single entree with protein for vegetarians. The chef could easily add tofu, beans or seitan to the veggie curry.

First time in MN and I went here to order the Jerk! The people here were great and the chicken had a lovely flavor that was extremely juicy. The sauce was great as well! Plantains were on point and the rice was good too. Only reason I can’t give a 5 star rating is because the cabbage, but I will return when I’m back in MN!

Love it here! The live music is great every time. The international Reggae All Stars along with Singing Tony are the best.

Worst Jamaican food I've ever had! Visiting from FL and picked this spot intentionally in an effort to support black business. I was starving and this plane ended up being such a disappointment. I'm vegetarian and ordered the curry vegetables. It was not seasoned at all, tasted like straight curry. My friends had the same complaint, they ordered the jerk and curry chicken. Both very spicy but no flavor. The coleslaw???? Just pieces of raw cabbage. If you're not going to make an actual salad please steam it...and WITH seasoning please. Rice had TOO much bunbun in it (the scorched, hard pieces for those that don't know). Best part of the meal was the plantain.

Nice, cute spot, service was subpar - couple of kids that looked like they didn't want to be there.

I'd like to encourage the cook to PLEASE take a trip to Jamaica (NY even) and get some authentic recipes. Even YouTube could inspire some positive change. Do the people of Minnesota some justice, this ain't it.

Pimento Kitchen in Minneapolis is a must-try! I had the chicken curry, and the spice level was just right—full of flavor with the perfect kick. Loved the reggae music playing in the next room, which created a great atmosphere. It was my first visit, thanks to a friend's recommendation, and it won’t be my last. If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican food and great vibes, this is the spot! Highly recommend for anyone craving bold flavors and a fun dining experience. #PimentoKitchen #JamaicanFood #MinneapolisEats #AuthenticFlavors #ChickenCurry #ReggaeVibes #FoodieFinds

Y’all got the C team working on 10/3 dinner time…
Watched multiple people leave due to no service. One person dining in waited over 30 minutes and had to go ask for her meal to be made, employee offered no apology or solution. I placed a pick up order 30 minutes ago and it hasn’t even been started! What service are you providing me by asking for a tip? I’m a regular but after today I’m considering never coming back… do better!
