Planet Smoothie

Instead of the hotel free breakfast, which we were tried of and wanted Healthier choices, we went to planet smoothie found on google maps.
We both had Açaí bowels with blueberries, banana slices and cut up strawberries, which were excellent. Nice large portions.
Service was provided by a nice young man who was very friendly and helpful while taking our order. Atmosphere was nice bright, clean and quiet.

Wish they had one in UPTOWN. Stopped off to get the kids a smoothie, they loved the banana jello flavor and drank it completely down. I want to try the mocha version next time. The gentleman behind the counter was quick and courteous. Would highly recommend!

If you’re black rethink visiting this place. I went there tonight for the first time and ordered the mango passion without energy blast. My heart condition won’t allow me to have caffeine. The lady taking my order repeated my order back to me correctly. Then the man making the smoothies finished preparing a mango passion and I asked him if it has energy blast and he answered affirmatively, that there is indeed energy blast in that mango passion. I politely reminded the lady that I did not want energy blast and she acknowledged, then she said something to the man in Spanish and then she asked him in English if that mango passion and he answered negatively, that there is no energy blast. I’m not a detective and I don’t speak Spanish but I clearly heard the man say there was energy blast just before the lady said something to him in Spanish and he changed his answer only after she spoke to him in Spanish. I respectfully told the lady that the man said there was energy blast in the mango passion he prepared for me. The man put his head down in shame and the lady proceeded to make me a new drink. At the end I don’t think what she gave me was mango passion, the color was very red and it didn’t resemble the other mango passions that were made for other customers before me. And there were boba in the smoothie. I believe the lady mixed together a bunch of ingredients just to spite me for having caught her and the man in their lie, a lie that would send me to the hospital or worse. Please look up people who have been caffeine poisoned across the country. It’s not a trivial matter. Since the smoothie I got clearly was not a mango passion, I didn’t want to risk the smooth having caffeine and energy blast, so I just threw it away. Mind you I was respectful of these people the entire time and I truly do not believe they would’ve treated me the way they did if I was not black. Shame.

We work across the street from this store and have recently fallen in love with these smoothies. They’re a tasty, filling, healthy alternative to unhealthy snacking foods. We’ve done two online orders with several people from our office. Yesterday and today the same young man was working. He was so kind and was working so hard. I didn’t catch his name but he is doing a great job. I didn’t have any cash to tip him today and I haven’t figured out how to tip online. I think I’m going to become a frequent patron of this store so we’ll definitely be back soon!

I absolutely love Planet Smoothie in Minneapolis! The service is always top-notch, with friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure a great experience every time. Today 6/30/24 After finding parking and walking 2 blocks to find the enclosed location. I stood there 20mins waiting for the cashier to even greet me. While sranding with his hands in his pockets, he carried on a conversation with a few visitors from out of town, asking about their travels as if i wasnt standing there. I intended to get the featured Berry blast, also a PB blend and mango smoothie, (I'm thinking would have costed 30 bucks at $10 each) He completely ignored me and still I waited. When I say it was the most disrespectful service Ever. I mean it. Don't waste your time!!!!!!!!

Best fruit bowl I've ever had. The dragon fruit base was a bit icy but with 80 degrees weather, it wasn't an issue for long.
