My date and I went to Rinata for Valentine’s Day! We were a little late for our reservation as I was working later than expected but they still accommodated us.
Drinks were great though their cocktail menu only included classics. A corpse reviver on the menu is a rare and fun treat. We ordered the mussels which were AMAZING, and they even brought us extra bread for the sauce without prompting.
We shared a perfect mixed greens and Gorgonzola salad and then shared the lamb shank risotto and the lobster gnocchi. The gnocchi was a bit softer than I’d expect but it was still so good and creamy. Neither of us could decide which entree we liked better. Finished off with the crème brûlée which I can never resist.
The bearded gentleman serving us was fantastic as was everyone else who touched our table. All hands in :)
We’ll definitely be coming back!

I love this place, I order about 2x a week but I wanted to tell you tonight it was way better than normal. Whoever is working tonight deserves some credit. The food is always good but tonight it was better. Significantly. Whoever was cooking pasta tonight deserves a raise or promotion.

Rinata is a community restaurant that truly cares about its staff and patrons. They shut down on January 23rd to stand up to the I.C.E. occupation of community spaces. We are two trans men, and we have always been treated with dignity as guests.
The owner and Scott the bartender, as well asseveral members of the waitstaff are extremely welcoming. If you come on a Friday or Saturday, please be kind if there is a wait. They are a small, family-owned restaurant. The restaurant was passed down from father to son.
Coming from Dallas–Fort Worth, one of the largest sprawling metroplexes in America, this is still one of the best Italian restaurants my husband and I have ever eaten at. Their espresso martini and sidecar are phenomenal. The Caesar salad is fantastic, with the perfect hint of tang and umami and a satisfying crunch from the croutons. The bucatini and pappardelle are tantalizing, and the crème brûlée is absolutely addictive.
I couldn’t recommend it any more highly if I tried.

This was our first time at Rinata. Cocktails were fine, a bit weak though. They do give a complimentary bread basket with oil and olive tapenade and the bread was good. Eggplant invollatini was the better of the apps. Filling was nice and cheesy though it could have been a bit hotter in temp. Mussels were quite spicy and very vinegary. Baked feta was far too salty, it was inedible. Entrees were better than the apps but still not great. Chicken parmesan portion was huge. Bucatinni amatracana was good but expensive. Puttanesca was not great. The shrimp were very small and with the still on and very expensive again. The homemade pasta was good but a bit chewy. Tiramisu was more like a cake, no coffee flavor, no lady fingers, pretty bland in flavor. Parking was tricky. We did park in the small lot behind but there is only a few spots and it was ICY, like a solid couple of inches thick of ice, a nightmare honestly for walking. Inside was nice but it is a small quiet intimate setting as its setup as 4 smaller dining areas. Service was good, though a bit slow. If you're looking for the best Italian restaurant in the cities, go to Bar la Grassa, they are hands down the best.

Wow. The food here was just that - wow. I had the papperdelle, and it was excellent. The best bowl of Italian food I've had here in the Twin Cities. (The other two dishes photographed are the chicken parmesan and the bucatini, which were also delicious as stated by my friends.) The service was top-notch, too. I'd recommend reservations. Will 100% be back!

This is a special place – the venue is charming and fun, and the staff was excellent. The food was exceptional and exceeded our high expectations. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, and my partner had the bucatini. I think it's the best pasta fresca I've had in the Midwest. Rinata is now at the top of a very short list of places I'll take out-of-town guests – I can't wait to show it off to visitors. Well-managed and delicious - do dinner here, you'll thank me later!

Amazing homemade pasta, great service, generous sized cocktails and perfect desserts. Could not have asked for a better dining experience. We were a party of 6, we each had something different and everyone loved their meal.

Absolutely phenomenal! The food and service was some of the best i'd ever had! The atmosphere was welcoming and personal. The staff was incredible, and it was a dining experience I'll never forget. Highly recommend all the dishes my group enjoyed but especially the eggplant involtini, the pizza, mussels, squash ravioli (personal favorite), and the tiramisu. Everything is made in house and the quality is impeccable. Every dish was carefully crafted and delicious; cannot recommend this place enough!

It's truly impressive that this place has managed to weather so many potential pitfalls over so many years while doing the same thing they've been doing since day one: offering good food and good service at reasonable prices. Although we no longer live in the neighborhood, it was a real treat to return here for dinner last night after the construction dust on Hennepin had finally settled and find them still going strong. Loved our cocktails (Manhattan and Negroni), our salad (Caesar), our pastas (bucatini and pappardelle), and a nice Calabrian wine.
