We had a large group of ~20 people come here after work for a wedding shower party. The service was great and everyone had a wonderful time. They were not able to do split any bills (understandably for a group this size) so one person paid for it and then detailed the bill out to our team. This is where things went south fast. After everyone settled with what they had we still had 40 (FORTY) drinks unaccounted for. The group wound down to 8 people by 5:30-6. We stayed until 10. There was food (tostas) and multiple drinks that were never ordered on the bill. No one in group ordered vodka, however we had 7 Grey Goose cocktails listed. The organizer of the party spoke to Dan about the issue and felt very dismisses by his less than hospitable interaction with her. Alyssa sent and email the following day after speaking to Jeremy the server and stood firm that what we ordered was true. It was not. We are a group of professionals that aren't out to scam a business and not pay for what was truly ordered. This treatment to not even come to a compromise is completely unacceptable and you will never get my busy again. It will also be circulated fully in my work place to ensure we never select Rojo as a destination again. #RojoNoMo

Overall, the service was nice, attentive and quick, however, we had a large group and when the bill came there was a lot of additional drinks that no one had actually ordered on the bill. Not sure if they thought we would not notice because we were such a large group, but we did, and they refused to make it right. What was a super fun night out turned into a really disappointing experience. Be sure to double check your bill before you give them your credit card. That was the most expensive bowl of complimentary chips ever!

Best guacamole. . . EVER! Their chips are on point. A workmate offered a quick snack and I enjoyed it. I definitely will go and check out the rest of the menu

It's hard to mess up Mexican food..but ooph! This food was very bland. My friend and I really had a good laugh just thinking about how absolutely boring those tacos were. Some beans, lettuce, and a preheated pack of veggies. No seasoning, salsa and it wasn't even heated (lol). I'm not mad or anything, the people were nice, but the food was so plain it was comical. My friends and I will have a good laugh about this place for a long time just thinking about how funny it is to pretend to call yourself a Mexican restaurant. Good place to go to if other places are closed.

The cheese enchiladas were barely edible. The service was indifferent at best. Guacamole was good. Veggie tacos were good. I don't recommend this place.

Rojo used to be one of my favorite restaurants when I worked closer to West End & decided to have dinner here since I was already downtown. The menu & tacos have changed quite a bit since I last ate here and perhaps it was this location but the carne asada tacos were slightly salty & not as juicy as usual. Other than that, endless amazing chips and salsa as usual was spot on. I always go with the carne asada tacos & get corn instead of the refried beans - there's like a dollar up charge but I promise you it's worth it!

I was in Minneapolis to support my team. I said I would treat myself to the home opener, check out the awesome stadium and celebrate being a fan for 25 years! SKOL! I came here for dinner. It was a mistake. I ordered the mexican meatloaf with rice and beans. I did not like my food at all. My meatloaf had a weird sweet taste to it. So did the rice. Just did not sit well with me. The chips and salsa was good. The highlight of the evening: Ginger beer. Please skip this place if you are in town as well as if you are a permanent resident. Their food is as good as how Cousins has been playing!

Food was below average for Mexican. Refried beans - no flavor. Guacamole no flavor. Not a fan of sweet rice and regular rice not an option.

I am from Oklahoma on travel. Came to eat dinner tonight (8/26). Decent food, poor service. When the server Peter brought our checks, I put my debit card inside the booklet and he came by and picked up both my ticket and my co-workers. When he returned, he told me I did not give him a card. But my friend watched me put it in there and we both seen him pick it up and walk away. They lost my card then accused me of not giving them one. I was firm and told them they better find it. I found the manager and explained to him that the waiter lost my card. I said of it was not found, I was calling the police to report it stolen. The manager then told me that he may call the police and have me escorted out because I was being beligerient.

I was expecting a lot more out of this place, but unfortunately they did not live up to my exceptions. Sat down for lunch at 11:30, they got our drink orders in right away followed by food (probably around 11:40), but we didn't receive our food till 12:30 - I just don't believe tacos should take 50 minutes. Meanwhile other tables were getting their food and we just waited (since the waiter disappeared), no acknowledgement of the delay or anything. Although the food was cold, it still tasted good and is the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars. Next time just skip Rojo and head right next door to Barrio for great service!

Great place! Spacious seating and bar area. All the classic dishes served with just enough rice and beans. Chip's and salsa too. I was a bit disappointed because some of the chips were undercooked and chewy. The salsa reminded me of Chili's because it has a bit more onion taste than usual. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Overall, great dinner and hope I get back for happy hour next time.

Happy hour margaritas are the best. You only need one and it's a great deal. I like getting the nachos for my main meal and they are huge. This downtown location has great sidewalk seating.

This place wasn't bad wasn't great. I really only went for happy hour where the deals aren't terrible. I wasn't particularly impressed with my sangria (and the fruit inside of it didn't seem ripe but the group I went with really liked their margaritas. We got some chicken quesadillas which weren't bad, it was just interesting that they put pico on the whole pizza and not on the side because it made the tortillas soggy. Some people liked the quest, I wasn't a fan, but everyone has their own opinions. Chill atmosphere though and it looks like it's good for large groups of people. Our waiter was good but one of the hostesses wasn't particularly the nicest. But since it was busy she may have been frazzled.

A group of us visited this place to enjoy the outside patio seating after being inside a hotel conference all day and it was a huge disappointment. The 6 of us went up to their rooftop patio and first, we weren't assisted by anyone with getting a table. Instead we were told "sorry don't have anything" and the server walked away. We understood that it was a larger group and dinner service was just getting started so we waited until something became available (honestly should've left right after that). When two tables became available, we went over to those tables and another server came over to help us put it together. We needed 2 more chairs so we grabbed them from the bar so everyone could have a seat. Right after that, their bar manager (I'm assuming by his demeanor) walked over and told us that we could not take his bar chairs...and proceeded to start taking them away.... We said that's fine, just get us two chairs that we could use and he just laughed at us. AND at the end they ended up using the same chairs that we brought over. The service was mediocre and the food is honestly not worth what they charge. We were looking forward to experiencing some great food in a new area to all of us but that totally killed the experience. Do not bother going here!
