The food was delicious. The atmosphere was noisier than expected. Service was also slow. But this was our first time here, so can't honestly say if that's normal. However, the creme brulee was the absolute best I've ever had & the chocolate cream dessert was a huge crowd pleaser. Can't wait to go back!

Overpriced, bland food drenched in butter. Loud.

Everything is drowned in butter, bland to the point of being flavorless (the undercooked Arctic char is a loser), crude and unsophisticated. Gummy Brussels sprouts, likewise drenched in butter. Most of the meals came out lukewarm. For this money, I expected far finer cuisine. The French fries were the high point. Noisy (the party next to us may have been the Loud Family from 1970s Saturday Night Live skit). Won’t be returning.

The food is super good! Seasoned and tasty as hell. Took Mom here for b'day and had a great time! Always nice when the bestie makes it special 😁 You should visit more so for the employees more so, if they come out of the dungeon...

My husband and I were very excited for a night out without our toddler, which is a rare occasion. We hadn’t been here in about a year and half and were excited to spend our night out here. We were unfortunately very disappointed. Our food took almost an hour from when we ordered it to it arriving at our table. When it did come it was cold, were very small portions for the price and one entree was different than the description. The workers were all kind but were very understaffed, the bartender was our server and we rarely saw him, he apologized every time we interacted with him but the service was subpar. We ended up getting a drink and dessert at a bar around the corner because we didn’t want to wait anymore and then ended up talking with another group who had a very disappointingly similar experience to us and ended up coming to the other bar to salvage the end of their night. With so many great restaurants to choose from in Minneapolis I would not recommend coming here nor will I be back.

Stopped here an hour before closing during the week and perfect ending to the night
I wanted something cosy and quiet and I was transported to a French bistro sitting here at the bar chatting with the GM Tim (shoutout!)
We ordered the fries with the bernaise dipping sauce, so fresh and perfect amount of salt
Also got some delicious cocktails- sorry forget the name and a delicious shared dessert!!
Need to come back and try the dinner menu
Love the ambiance here!

Delicious food, attentive staff, lovely atmosphere, but portions are wildly small, leaving us hungry afterwards -- please provide dishes with more grits, a bread basket, etc or charge more and double the size

Waited almost 1.5 hours for food on Friday evening. Portions were barely snack size. Pricing was outrageous. 15% surcharge mandate by the city is driving restaurants to cut back on food and price gouge customers. The experience was not worth it.

Wonderful dining experience. Abraham our server and host was nice and attentive. Will be dining here again in the future.

The Royale with cheese was way overloaded with sauce. So much so that it overpowered the entire burger in every bite. I wish I would have asked for it on the side. Then maybe it would have been a $12 burger, but certainly not $18 l plus the 15% fee that they tack on to the bill making it a $21 burger. Way overpriced for what it is.

I gave two stars because the duck I ordered was absolutely delicious, but the rest of our experience left much to be desired. Our cocktails were horribly off-balance (tasted only like lemon juice which was not a listed ingredient), the escargot croquettes would have fooled me as a simple hush puppy because they had no flavor beyond fried dough and the sauce they came with, and the restaurant added a service charge as well as a tip line to the bill. If you are adding a 15% service charge but don’t intend to use that as a means to replace or partially supplement tipping, then really all you’re doing is dishonestly pricing out your menu. The sticker shock of our bill (after the service charge and a tip) did not match the experience and certainly did not match the atmosphere- our server was wearing an old wrinkled t shirt and baggy jeans.

We went in July but the menu felt very much like a winter menu. The pork was delicious but just heavy for a hot July day. The fish was overcooked. Then, we got a heads up the fish was the longest dish (30-45min), it came after only about 30min so that was nice, however for dessert we ordered the creme brulee which anyone would expect would be just a few minutes (prepared in advance, just need to grill the sugar on top), and that did take 45min without the heads up this time... All around, not a terrible experience, just not super overwhelming for the price point.

I think back about two years in the past about the best meal I’ve ever had and I think of this restaurant. I cannot speak higher about the food, absolutely phenomenal. I currently don’t live in the twin cities and can honestly say this restaurant is one of the places I miss the most.
