Pulled pork sandwich for lunch at least once a month. 👌🏻
The ribs had absolutely no meat on them it was all bone. The skin you supposed to peel off before cooking ribs was still on there. I spent 50 bucks on 2 meals that the only thing was good was the twice baked potato and the can of coke

Had the pulled pork sandwiches: the sauces were excellent, the portions were large. Well worth a stop on our vacation trip!

Big miss for me. Don't understand the high reviews. My ribs were literally small bones with barely any meat on it. potatoes tasted like it was sitting out for awhile. Don't recommend.

I'm from Texas and we went to Minneapolis to visit wife's family. This is her favorite BBQ place (she's been telling me about it for years). I have to admit, they have THE BEST BBQ sauce that has ever touched my lips. And I thought I knew barbeque.
You're better off going to a chain. The sandwich bread was soggy but somehow the meat was still undersauced. I think the high reviews are from when it was run by the dad or uncle. The nephew's bbqdid not deliver.

This place was so good that I meant to just take one bite of the food in my car to taste it and then eat the rest at home, but instead I inhaled the whole thing in the car because it was so good and I couldn't stop eating it. The sauce is delicious and the meat is fantastic. Great price and portions as well. Also the place is so cool inside - lots of memorabilia and very friendly, welcoming people. Great neighborhood spot and I will definitely be back often.

I stopped by at the last minute, and the owner was still super kind and welcoming, even taking the time to ask about my taste preferences. The food was an amazing value—absolutely delicious! I asked for the spicy BBQ sauce, which was mild for my taste and could be a bit spicier, the pork was perfect—no complaints there. Just give it a try; you won’t be disappointed!
The restaurant is very small, with only one sit-down table, but I absolutely loved the cool, old town vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

Only one table in the joint. Wait a few minutes for your food and go. I hope they have a sit down restaurant someday. But till then I'll keep getting take out.
Pick up and take out, order ahead... My new favorite lunch spot. Very reasonably price and very very good... Chicken, pork and steak sandwiches are ridiculous. Beans are fantastic...

Delicious and affordable BBQ takeout joint that reminds me of a restaurant you'd find in a small town. Glad to have them in the heart of South Minneapolis. Their small dining area can only seat about 2-3 folks but is charming and seems to be packed with memories!
Parking: Limited parking out front at a busy intersection. There's plenty of free street parking nearby though.
Wheelchair accessibility: Does not seem easily accessible by wheelchair due to age of building.
