Good coffee and excellent sandwiches served on some kind of bagel thing they call a “bungle”. I’ve had a good egg and cheese sandwich, a quality chopped cheese, and an unforgettable smoked salmon bagel that I think was a special but I hope they keep it. I think they also sell some spreads and maybe even pizza by the slice? Hoping that’s right.

First off, three stars is not a bad review in my book. It means a place is perfectly fine.Silver's Market & Deli is a stand inside the Wrecktangle Pizza at Lyn-Lake. It serves coffee, light sandwiches and something called "bungles" (a mix of a bun and a bagel). They have vegan cream cheese and a vegan tofu bungle sandwich. The curry tofu bungle ($10) consists of curried tou, pickled radish, arugula and a pesto hummus. I thought it was fine, but not great. The curry tofu had a sweet flavor (as opposed to savory), and I wish it had been more of a fried or baked patty, instead of a crumbly spread. If Silver's added vegan sausage or bacon, and a cashew cheese spread, the sandwich might be amazing.A plain bungle ($6) is a nice snack. The bread is somehow spongy, crispy and airy with excellent chew. All told, I like Silver's, but I wish it had a better vegan breakfast bungle.
