Family was attending a get together at Minneapolis Axe Throwing and afterwards decided to grab a bite.
Decided to stop by Sonora Mexican Kitchen just happenstance. WOW. I live for Mexican food and honestly this food was really top of the list. Everyone at the table indicated that the food was the best tasting they have had for a Mexican fare. Not just saying this. I had to think when I’ve had better, and couldn’t really come up with an answer.

The house Margaritas are fantastic, and the food, like the brisket burrito, seafood Bichi, and steak burrito, is delicious and delivered hot. The Brussel sprout appetizer is to die for, and the flavors are amazing. The guacamole is great, and the tacos, like the fish taco and mushroom tacos, are tasty. The kitchen and bar staff work hard to keep up with the bustling restaurant, offering a cozy vibe with beautiful decor. While the cocktails are a bit pricey and service can be slow during rushes, the overall dining experience is highly recommended, and outdoor seating is available when the weather permits.
