Stopped in for a late afternoon snack. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our orders came timely. I wished my sammie was a little bigger. I got the Saigon 88 and my dining partner got the koketoro. Ample toppings, well presented. Love this space, would come back to try another vendor at this food hall.

I had the kimchi and pork sando and it was really good. It had good proportions of toppings and was not stingy with the amount of meat which is always a plus! My only suggestion would be if the pork were just a little softer, it would make it easier to eat because the sandwich form factor is very delicate.

The koketaro sando was awesome! Would definitely recommend giving it a try with the crispy katsu style chicken!

Mahalo (Tuna Poke, Lettuce, Avocado, Yellow Onion, Sesame Seed, Wonton Chip)This concept. Love. Surprisingly filling, this sushi sando definitely hits that sneaky little sushi craving spot, but is admittedly messier and harder to eat than a sushi burrito (probably the world's 5th greatest invention) or traditional onigiri. This tasted fresh, but lacked a saucier element to it. Cost wise, I'm not sure how it would stack up against a roll. Would go back to try another though! Quick service, love this food hall with a nice patio!

The 2 stars are for the Crunchy Munchy roll that was okay, because the sandwich was absolutely horrible. First of, I ordered the “Fox in Translation” and it said in the menu that there’s cucumbers in it, and when I got my sandwich there was pickles instead (very bad quality pickles), the cream cheese wasn’t plain cream cheese, it was the chives and onions type. They don’t specify stuff, they don’t let you make any substitution, I’m sad because I’ve been wanting to try it for a while and it was a big disappointment! It tasted like everything but sushi. Not worthy it for how expensive it is! We paid almost $50 for this, never coming back

If you can deal with the horrendous parking situation at Eat Street Crossing (and that's a *big* if) and higher prices, Sushi Dori is a good, fresh take on casual sushi. This isn't traditional sushi, they have specialty maki rolls as well as their unique-to-Minnesota "Sushi Sando" -- taking a large rectangular piece of roasted seaweed topped with a thin bed of rice and folding it over ingredients (kind of like a steamed bun sandwich at other restaurants). The Sando fillings cover all the typical Japanese flavor profiles, while also bringing in Hawaiian, Vietnamese, and Korean influences in various combinations. For a Sando, I decided to go with the Spamich as it sounded like a variation on the Hawaiian staple of Spam Musubi: In this interpretation, the filling included the usual ingredients (cooked spam, furikake) but also added a large slice of dashi egg (also known as tamago, this is savory version of the egg omelet used in some sushi), as well as sprouts, pickled cucumber, Kewpie mayo (aka Japanese mayo), and sweet soy. The totality of the ingredients worked, I think this would be a popular option for someone wanting to give the Sandos a try. It's a compliment that I want to try their other flavors (there are presently 12 sandwiches). I wanted to try their creative rolls so I went with the "Holy Grail" comprising spam, dashi egg, avocado, scallion, furikake, sweet soy, and gochujang mayo...I was curious how hot the gochujang was going to make it: the spice level here is definitely "Minnesota spice" so very little heat. The seaweed salad tasted like your typical generic store-bought with a bit of extra seasoning added to the top. It was a generous portion. They have a nice sparkling yuzu drink. My only critique for Sushi Dori was the total cost, all of the above topped $40 with tip. This is counter service that hands you a pager to pick up your food. While the entire vibe of the space is really well done (the outdoor patio was hopping on a July weekend), I'm still not sure it matches the price.Frankly it really comes down the absolute pain in parking around it. If you're not ubering or walking--if you're just a person who still drives a vehicle to get from place to place--you're going to be in a search to park wherever you can hope to find on the shadiest end of Eat Street (maybe things will improve once the old K-Mart gets torn down and redeveloped, but that's going to be years from now at best). I'm still shocked the people who developed this place, and the bank that financed it, took this kind of risk. There was a crowd today, so maybe it will pay off. I've been wrong before. For now, go enjoy the great work by Christian Dean Architecture and pay high prices for counter service!

While this is a sushi place, they do have a delicious vegan maki roll that incorporates mushrooms, a sandwich that also looks great, and a couple sides. As a lifelong mushroom lover, I really enjoyed it! Eat Street Crossing is a such a cute space too, with an artsy vibe. Updated from previous review on 2023-06-29

Service was fast a kind but the food was …bad. I hate to say it because I was really looking forward to it. I got a shrimp tempura sushi sandwich and the lox one as well. It was underwhelming in quality. Way too much dill and whatever mayo that was on that also had dill on the lox—not well constructed. The shrimp tempura was soggy and the flavor was just not great. I was expecting something fresh and decadent with well balanced flavor. I genuinely think I could have done a better job. ? I didn’t finish either of them and I’m like a good finisher ALWAYS. Even mediocre foodI will devour it. hope they improve asap because I love the idea.

Sushi obviously can be a bit expensive but I still enjoyed their sandwich sushi. A friend said they could get a sushi burrito at Poke something in the mall for cheaper and bigger. Never been so can't judge on that. The cold edamame side was a hard pass, having it cold felt too raw and not at all enjoyable. Like them warm preferably.

Wow!! Did not expect to enjoy a ‘sushi sando’ as much as I did! I ordered the Hot Tunny and it was incredible! Great flavors, textures and full of spicy tuna! Highly recommend! My only regret is that I wasn’t able to try more. I look forward to returning (soon!).
