Love Szechuan Spice. Food has always been well-priced and tasty. But they have been ‘closed for remodeling’ since April. Recently, their sign has changed to Kung Fu Hotpot. Not sure what’s happening exactly.

Guess they decided to turn off online delivery. Too bad for them, I'd always order plenty of food. No answer on phone. Well done!

Tried calling for over an hour (during their normal listed business hours) and every call was sent to voicemail with no answer. Their online ordering is down as well, but there's no indication on their site or anywhere else that they have limited service at the moment.

Delicious!! Nice variety of dishes, good veggie and gluten free options, pleasant service.

They still don’t have dine in option. But the food is delicious

Location was open for take out but website did not reflect this limitation. That is the main complaint and knock down of a star.I'm annoyed but I fully had my heart set on ordering from this establishment as part of my last day on vacation in MN. Due to food freshness, I was forced into eating this at a bus stop nearby to avoid the rain while enjoying what I could of my meal.I put in a Google request for them to update their listing to Take Out only and remove Dine In as an option.Meal was underwhelming itself. But at least I tried it out.

Our go-to Chinese place. Sooooo good. The sesame tofu, beef and broccoli, thick noodle dumplings...all amazing!!

We’ve been getting take out/delivery from here for two years now and the quality is always great! Would highly recommend for take out or delivery

Szechuan Spice has such good Chinese food. I used to go to China every summer when I was little to visit family, and their dishes take me back. Really solid, authentic Chinese food. The kung pao chicken and sichuan green beans are so good. Service is fast and friendly. This isn't American-Chinese fast food, it's real dishes that you would get in China. I highly recommend trying it out!

My Order:Orange ChickenGeneral Tso's ChickenSzechuan Dan Dan NoodlesBoth the orange and general tso's were completely average. Nice pieces of chicken, and a good coating of sauce. The sauce itself was very plain, and did not pop out. If I had mixed up the two containers, there would be no way of knowing which is which (aside from the orange peel garnish). I was bummed, as I have not found a place with solid flavorful chicken options, please comment if you got a good rec!The noodles, however, were very bomb! Delicious flavor and texture, and a large quantity of it.In retrospect, I probably should have ordered more szechuan spiced dishes, but don't put it on the menu if its mediocre.

The woman who answered the phone was quite rude with me when I called to inform her that my delivery order was not correct. She would not allow me to speak continually interrupting my attempts to communicate with her. The food was not what I ordered, fried rice was burned and the general tso chicken tasted as if it sat at a buffet line for hours. Waste of money and horrible customer service. Stay clear of this establishment.Worst Chinese food I have ever tasted ?

I ordered here many times, the food is good. But apparently the restaurant is not willing to admit that they have not very good dish quality check. I have once found a bug in the dish, and once the there’s a missing dish in my order. I reported these two issues through the delivery platform. And after that, the restaurant said they won’t accept my order any more, just because they had made some mistakes. Good job :)

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Minneapolis. Always consistent and delicious. Kung Pao Tofu done perfectly, crispy and fluffy. Always great service, but they run with a small staff and do a ton of take out so it sometimes takes a little while even if the place looks empty. They're super friendly tho and it's always worth the wait.

Our go-to for Chinese delivery and take out. Love their crispy beef, duck, and hot and sour soup is always a must. Super hot and fresh along with friendly staff!

I’m not mad, just disappointed. If they had picked up the phone when I called, my food would have been here by now.Instead, an hour of my life was wasted.Three attempts to call with no response.Online ordering was slow and unresponsive, and when I finally got to the checkout, you couldn’t pay with a card.I downloaded DoorDash since one of my cards has free DashPass, but they weren’t on there.Sorry, Szechuan Spice, but you’ve lost a loyal customer by being too difficult and frustrating to order.
