My mom & I are IN LOVE with this place! The space is so inviting & beautiful, music was on point, & no TVs! The service was fantastic! Shout out to our bartenders Taylor & Lucy! We had spicy margaritas, Brussels sprouts, & fries with truffle aioli. Beautiful presentation. Beautiful space. Beautiful people. I can’t wait to go back for another experience! Great addition to the North side ??

I’ve been here 5 times now and they never disappoint! Food is outstanding, staff is very friendly, and the vibe is great during day or night. I love this new addition to the neighborhood. A must-visit in Minneapolis.
The Decore is more welcoming than the staff food is a 2 was given the wrong order I didn’t get a sorry about that nothing the cook seemed upset I sent my food back I ask for dry rub I received lemon pepper wings after waiting 35 minutes for a salad and salad ??? and the cucumber salad was swimming in water bad experience

Great neighborhood restaurant with soul food fusion. Perfect date night spot and great addition to the dining options in North Minneapolis/Robbinsdale/ Golden Valley area. Will return.
Dietary restrictions: Told server about my gluten allergy and they were helpful in checking with kitchen prior to preparing my food. For celiacs, there is not a dedicated fryer and there could be risk of cross contamination.

First off, I have nothing but love for this place, I wish it was near my home in Eden Prairie so I could visit often. We entered on a beautiful fall evening, and spent the next two and a half hours as guests of Tapin. The atmosphere was elegant but not off putting. Every staff person was generous and warm. While dining I thought of my next visit even before I left for the night. There were a few hiccups in the service and food, but the overall experience as worth spending my time and money there. The brisket was nicely spicy but the flavors of the sides blended together. Seeing the sides lined up I expected more individual flavors. Drinks were good, service was a little haphazard at times. I'm sure better service will come with experience. Please try this place, it's worth our effort to keep this place open, I'm envisioning next summer, large doors open enjoying drinks and lunch with much revelry.

Man…I just ordered some chicken wings literally a half hour ago. What I got was 8 wing dings for 13$ Lemon pepper and jerk flavor. Flavor nope, seasoning nope. Wings look nothing like any other review I have seen. As a neighbor of this place I hoped it would be a great experience but… Still hungry.
I went here on a second date as the waiter called it. We left a previous place and came here. The service was on par and the atmosphere helped in the relaxation of the date. We loved the food and enjoyed ourselves. I highly give this restaurant 5 stars?????

I love the atmosphere. It was so beautiful. The food was amazing. I love the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the decor very amazing. Plus I hear it’s black owned so that’s definitely a huge plus for me. I would highly recommend this place.
