Really good 5 nice staff, and great seating 3 stars on atmosphere because the security guard in the parking lots a huge douche bag. He takes his job way too seriously.

Taqueria La Hacienda – 5 Stars
I didn’t find this place. It summoned me.

I was wandering Lake Street, spiritually lost and mildly hungover, when I caught a scent so divine it temporarily knocked a pigeon off the power line. I followed it like a cartoon character floating on a scent cloud. That scent? Jorge’s tacos.

Yes—my friend Jorge works here, and I swear this man isn’t just a taquero—he’s a meat sorcerer. I once watched him assemble an al pastor taco with the same intensity as a surgeon doing a heart transplant. I asked him what the secret was. He stared at me, dead serious, and whispered, “Time is a tortilla, bro.”

I still don’t know what that means. But I wept.

The food? Life-altering. The service? Quick, mystical. The atmosphere? Like you’re in a fever dream where every mariachi band plays only for you.

If you go, ask for Jorge. Tell him you seek “the taco of awakening.” He’ll know what to do.

I’ll never be the same. Thank you, Jorge. Thank you, Hacienda.

Ordered from DoorDash. Got horrible food poisoning. I had to spend 3 days in the hospital.

The atmosphere was unique to their culture. I like how they called out everybody number in Spanish. The only thing was that the taco size was small, I got 6 tacos with protein choice of chicken. Don’t get me wrong it was good. But the size itself after eating the 6 tacos I wasn’t full. Bear in mind this was my first time eating here. When I eat 6 tacos they usually fill me up but it must’ve been the taco size here and it’s pretty pricey for a taco so also keep that into consideration when ordering.

We ordered the birria tacos with a side of rice and beans to go. The wait was not bad at all. My daughter loved the free Wi-Fi. The store is really quite pretty with all the different colors everywhere friendly staff.

It’s original! They have fresh meats and their cooking is consistent no matter what location you go to. However, there are better tacos ? around here, these are tasty but not as cool as some of the other Mexican joints around here. It’s I think 4 stars but for the effort they make id like it a 5. The parking can be difficult but on the weekends you can park on the Bank Parking. Now they started to have Birria. I think Barbacoa, Suadero and Tripa are the better meats.

Went for lunch.

Atmosphere is cute and colorful but it feels dated.

The food is tasty (minus the chicken taco), but the price's, service, and portion sizes were underwhelming. The tacos are truly the size of your palm and you'll feel hungry if you order even 4 of them. 4 * $3.60 is already 14.40 and you're still hungry? Math doesn't add up since you can do so much better elsewhere.

I appreciate food being made to order but it's too slow. You'll wait 10 mins for 3-4 tacos + chips/guacamole and given that the menu is centered around 5-10 dishes, it could be much more efficient and streamlined.

From what I could hear, the staff were bilingual and while that is really useful, some staff only spoke spanish and asking for alterations of the menu didn't come across at all. We asked cilantro off some tacos due to an allergy and they came with cilantro. Not good considering some serious allergies could be worse.

I give it a 3. It's an ok spot in a busy neighborhood and while the food is satisfactory, services is subpar and the prices catch up fast that you should just really go elsewhere for value and experience.
