Greatest Bar in Downtown Minneapolis. Chili is next level, drinks are great. Always our favorite spot.
Decent experience ruined by bad service. Wasn’t busy but server didn’t place order for one of our entrees. Then the order was wrong when it was placed. For a sports bar, pretty bad that i was never served my beer that I requested either.
No non-sense local taverm with strong baseball theme and a menu full of opportunities to try local classics such as wild rice soup and wisconsin cheese curds. Definetely recommend a visit.
Service was good and the location was right by my hotel. I thought for them being “known for their chili” it could have been better. It was just regular chili nothing crazy. The fries were nice and hot.
Get a grape ape or don’t go at all!
Just kidding! This is one of my favorite bars in MSP.
I frequented the Loon after work when I worked in the NBA, and it was something special to come back after all these years and see its charm and success unchanged.
The atmosphere and energy here is always on point and the bar staff is quality. The food is just fine, no complaints.
I highly recommend wetting your whistle at the Loon when you’re in the Twin Cities. Preferably, with a grape ape!
The foods great but pretty standard, the service and atmosphere are outstanding. Great lunch specials if you work downtown. Excellent spot to watch the game or for a meal before going in person, close to Target Field and Target Centet.
I’ve been here many times, but for some reason haven’t revived the place. The Loon has a long history and is a perfect spot for lunch or dinner before a game (or without the game)! They are friendly, super efficient and know how to handle a crowd, plus the food is always good and is a great value. Add the atmosphere and local history and you’ve got a winner. Next time you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by The Loon!
Had a great experience, was my first time there. Food was amazing, had the club sandwich. Grape Ape drink is a must have! Our server, Angela, was absolutely amazing! The restaurant business could learn a thing or two from her, amazing customer service!!! Made us feel right at home, can’t wait to go back next time we are in St Paul.

The person who sat us was abrupt and rude. My husband's lettuce in his Caesar salad was brown. The Bleu cheese and ranch dressing was pure runny liquid with no taste. Our friends chicken quesadilla came with the cheese already coagulated. Terrible!! Our server was great. The rest...dreadful!!!

The food was severely disappointing. The buffalo chicken sandwich was plain with little sauce.
Go for the drinks. Get a grape ape and some beer.

First off. We were greeted by a very friendly staff. The atmosphere was great
....but when I tell you this chicken was paper thin, I'm not kidding! This wasn't worth the price & maybe I just got the wrong thing...but my whole family was disappointed! It was just a bad food experience! That's not what I was expecting when i walked in!
