Best smaller pub in Minnesota. Proper pints, pot pies and you won’t find a friendlier staff.

This is the place you go to to be around friends. The service is casual but so welcoming and fun. The owners are absolutely serving you and treat their guests with kindness, silliness and joy. This is my favorite place in the cities.Usually packed (for a reason), food is great, whiskey is better.

Having last visited Minneapolis over 10 years ago, I was looking for a local gem that reflected the community I once lived in. Absolutely, the Prodigal Public House fit the bill.Though the House was recently established, it felt as if its been in the neighborhood forever, with regulars--that occupied almost the entire bar-top --welcoming a stranger with me with (literally) open arms. A great community bar, with countless recurring stories I'm sure running through here.Squirrel, the surly yet not really surly bartender, like all great bartenders--didn't phase when it got busier and busier. Food was excellent--my first cheese curds in over a decade.
Had a surprisingly good pot pie. I don't eat those very much but decided to order one since I'm in Midwest and I thoroughly enjoyed

This place has a cozy pub atmosphere with interesting decor. The food was affordable ($10-$15 per person) even though it was listed higher on Google. The pot pie was out of this world, and the flatbread pizza was phenomenal. It was a Vikings game day and while the bar area was buzzing, the back was perfect for quiet conversation and the service was quick and SO FRIENDLY! The guy working the bar was also serving and was an absolute gem. We will be returning for sure.
