The Roadside Reviews
Food was okay, but hardly worth the price. I ordered a bowl and it was mostly rice, very little meat. Very small portions and large bill! We were almost the only ones in there and server disappeared frequently. Soda was watered down with no flavor!
Worst service and food we have ever had. They brought my grandsons burger out 20 minutes before they brought the rest of the order. When they brought the order for three more of our group it was served to us in a paper bag with cardboard containers like you would get an order of cheese curds in at the fair. NO SILVERWARE! My food was totally forgotten so had to wait for that another 15 minutes. We had a small spill with bbq sauce and asked for a wet rag and we were told they...read full review
Had a $25 gift card, which covered half the check for 1 burger, a burnt ends barbecue sandwich, order of fries and 2 sodas. The food was good but way overpriced for the portions size and the sandwiches didn't even include chips! Everything that is usually included at other establishments were ala carte. Save your money.
Noisy to start, then add a group of young girls running amuck, in one door through the restaurant and out another, with no supervision.

The Roadside serves decent food, including perfectly cooked Frickles and delicious butternut squash. The pulled/chopped pork sandwich is good, but could be improved. The beer list is decent with good choices. The service is generally good, with friendly and attentive waitresses. The atmosphere can be a bit loud inside, but sitting at the bar is a good option. The restaurant is worth a return visit to try their in-house smoked BBQ. Recent reviews highlight that the restaurant offers vegetarian options, such as smoked squash tacos, which are highly praised. Customers also enjoyed hearty meals like the Thursday night special pig and a swig, a barbecue pulled pork sandwich with fries and a Coors light, as well as a great burger topped with jalapeños, jalapeño jam, and bacon. The staff provides good service with a smile, and the food offers good value. Parking is limited but sufficient. Overall, The Roadside remains a place worth visiting for good food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. However, some recent reviews mention that the loaded tots as an appetizer are not worth the money, as they offer a small portion and are better ordered with a burger for double the amount at half the price. Customers have praised the burger as the best they have had in a long time and enjoyed the smokehouse options on weekends. Some feel that the portion size on the bowls for the price is not ideal, especially with double protein options, which are small in size. Additionally, the restaurant has no sit-down tables other than booths and high tops, which some find inconvenient. Despite these points, the overall experience remains positive, with good food and service.
