Used to be one of my favorite neighborhood spots. Food and service have done downhill while the price has increased. The empty tables on a Thursday night don’t lie. Hope it reclaims the old magic again or it was just an off night.
Even with reservations, we were seated at the crowded bar with hardly elbow room to eat, an extremely uncomfortable stool, and music/poor acoustics that made conversation impossible. Food was overpriced for portion size and completely overwhelmed by sauces. The only saving grace was a well-informed friendly bartender. Doubt we will return here with so many other local options.
First time at Tilia—we ordered the burger to-go, and to our surprise, it was excellent. The brisket was tender, the thick-cut pickles added a perfect bite, and the meat-to-bun ratio was spot on. Pickup was smooth, and the bar inside had a great vibe. Solid first impression—definitely a spot we’d return to.
