WiFi doesn’t work right on multiple visits. This is a lovely coffee shop with good drinks and snacks. It also looks and feels like a lovely place to sit and work for a while with a good vibe. Unfortunately, their WiFi sucks to the point that I can’t even get to a webpage. I asked the person using her laptop next to me if they were having trouble and was told they are using a hotspot. I’ll come back if I’m just meeting up with friends to hang out, but I wish they would fix this issue or just say they don’t want laptops.

I've been to a lot of coffee shops around the city, but UP is BY FAR my favorite spot to study and chill! Amazing coffee and pastries! Such a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

It’s a 4 degree Fahrenheit day in Minnesota and there is no better way to spend the morning than visiting a coffee shop. I stumbled upon Up Cafe. What a treat! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Background music adds to the great vibe here. This is one of the easier-to-get-to coffee shops in Minneapolis as it is near the hustle and bustle of the city but situated in a quiet neighborhood not far off the beaten path. They make a crave-worthy oat milk latte that I will come back for!Parking: This coffee shop has ample, no hassle street parking and a small attached lot.

I *might* have to update this review when I go back and order my "Go To" drink...since I ventured out and got one of their signature menu items. I JUST discovered this coffee shop, when a friend told me it was in the area. It's tucked back and a hidden gem. I ordered an iced (yes I still get iced when I have to wear my gloves to hold my coffee) Lumberjack: vanilla, brown sugar, maple. It gave a nuttier flavor but was really good. It was $7.03 so it better be good - but I'd say prices are slightly cheaper than Five Watt so bonus points there. Next time I'll try the iced vanilla oat latte and report back. Parking? Small lot + plenty of street spots! WFH? Absolutely coming back to work form here. Plenty of tables and space. Catch up with a friend? Can do that, too! There were a few meet ups going on when I was in and it wasn't too loud. Service? The staff answered my questions and got my drink out to me fast. I went on a cold Sunday morning, so not sure if it's always that quick but I was very impressed!

Friends know to get us gift cards for this spot because it's our favorite place for coffee beans. They'll roast it for you and they'll even ask what type of coffee maker you have (French press, pour over, etc).

Up gas consistently good drinks across the board. Their food selection has the variety and flavor that makes them stand out against other local cafes. Service was hit and miss depending on who was working. It's become too expensive for me - spending $20 for two items. Up will be my go-to for a special treat.

Good coffee, good pastry selection. But baristas have so much attitude. They give condescending answers to any questions about their products. This would never fly in a restaurant! Create a warm and welcoming environment for your customers - it will pay off in spades.

A lifesaver on my way to an early event! I enjoyed their chai quite a bit. Great atmosphere, and I’m sad I only picked one pastry. I’ll be back to try more!

Loved the laid back atmosphere here! We tried the light roast drip coffee, horchata with a shot of espresso, and the lumberjack and all of it was delicious! High quality and crafted to

I come here weekly just for the iced almond milk Miel. They make it better than any other place I've been. Also cute place to come work or study.
