Got this surprise at The Uptown Lobby inside the Grenada Theatre in Minneapolis. Nice little bar/restaurant to try before going to a show here. (make reservations).
Ordered a Butter Burger. Bun was good but the bottom fell apart quickly. Patty was juicy and had good flavor. Sautéed mushrooms and onions hit the spot. The star was the spicy mayo, it really brought all the flavors together. What a mess after two bites, but didn't care. Wasn't expecting a burger this much above average here.. Enjoyed this one.
Fries were hot and had a good Truffle flavor if you like that.
Service was top notch. The bartender/server was friendly and courteous. Took car of us and recommended some great beverages!

Got there early and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The food was there in a flash and everything was hot and delicious. So glad we came here before our show!

We were double booked- notified the day of our reservation that it was cancelled due to a Valentine's Day event in the space. I'd call to confirm in advance next time.
They cancelled my reservation 24 hours before I was set to come on Valentine's Day! This left me with no good options for dinner that evening... Some excuse about the lobby not being available due to another event. Like they didn't know this at the time they accepted the reservation. Very poor way of doing business...
Every bit of food we had was tasty. Friendly wait staff, very attentive. Perfect spot right before the show we were seeing in the same building.
As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by name and seated immediately. We don't drink and were happy to see a mocktails menu and a bartender happy to mix an n/a drink. We started with the shrimp and it was perfect. I had the Granada burger and will be going back to have it again, it was that good.
While this is incredibly convenient if you are seeing a show, the food and drinks are way overpriced. The meals reminded me of something you would get on an airplane. Also since there was a show before we heard everything and it left our show less surprising. The staff was incredibly kind and wonderful though.
My friends and I had a fantastic time at Uptown Lobby! We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the restaurant and theatre were connected, but that only added to the experience. Even with the bar buzzing from the excitement of the play, our server, Mike, was incredibly attentive and kind. And the food—absolutely delicious! The lamb chops were easily some of the best we've ever had!
The drinks are incredible! The staff gives very chill vibes. We got some truffle fries that were unreal. 10/10 highly recommend!

I don't know if they were just having a bad night, but I have seldom seen such inefficiency and ineptitude. We had to ask for paper menus because the QR code card at the table didn't work. They didn't have a wine menu, so our server told us the four red wines they had. The first one we ordered, they were out of. The second one we ordered, they were out of. We settled for our third choice. When we placed our dinner orders, I asked for the soup and salad and was told they had just run out of the soup. (Our reservations were at 6:45; they had just opened at 5:00.) The food was very slow to be brought out. Three times while we were waiting, a server approached our table to ask if the plate they had in their hand was for us - it wasn't. My husband's burger was the first plate to be brought out; my salad was next to last. It took three trips to serve food to four people. While we were finally eating our dinner, people began to come in for the concert. There was no room for them, so they just filled up the lobby area, so we had people standing next to our table while we were eating. I ordered a cocktail and one of my dinner companions gave the server her card. Several minutes later, the server came back to say that she had run our card for a different table. They finally resolved this issue about the same time I finally received my cocktail; the bartender didn't know how to make it and had to look it up. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever endured.
Slow service, one server for entire area, out of one food selection but not told until others were served and too late to reorder before concert. Ice cold and undercooked French fries. Incorrect check details! Waited 10-15 minutes to order a drink! Mindful we were there for a concert. Tried to take a drink into the concert......one bartender said they were totally out of white wine and one said no wine on been chilled. This was at 6:30..........they still had another show that evening. Not a good experience!
We went to Uptown Follies and we had a great time!
Experteasers are great!!! I already have tickets for their next show.
Granada theater is a great place to see a show. They are working on a couple of issues (paper products in the restrooms and enough staff to accommodate the audience).
Our waitress worked very hard to get us everything we ordered. One thing I need Granada to do is to be sure to get the bills out to each audience member before the end of the show. My party and I made it all the way out to our vehicle when I remembered that I hadn't paid for our meals yet. I had to go back in to get my bill. I had to double check the order and found it was missing part of what we ate. I had to ask for that item to be added on.
Wheelchair accessibility: The elevator is glitchy. I found it is easier to put my person in the elevator and then I run to the floor we are going to and use that button to call the elevator. The buttons inside the elevator don't work consistently.

Went to the Candlelit concert at the theatre and decided to eat at the uptown lobby beforehand. Food was delicious and we made it to the concert right on time.
It was not a good experience. It was 5:15, only 2 other tables of ppl , so not busy. The waitress was new, so trying to cut her some slack... ordered a Mojito , but they did not have the ingredients, so I tried to go simple & ordered Pinot Grigio( white wine) it took a long time as “she had to go to the basement to find it” only to return with a glass of red wine( Pinot Noir) she did not know the difference. When I viewed the website it looked like they had some type of ahi tuna that I was looking forward to. Turns out they had a handful of appetizers, but only a burger for an entree... really??!! It taste good, but suddenly the selection was reduced to “0”! The ambience was good, a cool renovated old building, but besides that it was very poor service and selection.
