The New Uptown Cafe Reviews
Very tasty food. I had the Berserker egg and cheese sandwich with bacon, which was cooked perfectly. My husband had a club sandwich which was very tasty. My son had biscuits with gravy, a HUGE pancake with real maple syrup, and hash browns. He said everything was delicious.

The New Uptown Cafe delivers on delicious comfort food, homey atmosphere, and friendly staff. Service attentiveness and hospitality could use some work based on my first experience here if it wants to live up to its older sister, Uptown Diner, down the street. Still, the soup of the day and cornbread hit the spot on a cold December morning in the neighborhood.
Tried the veggie burger and tomato soup they were so fresh and flavorful. The pancake was huge and fluffy loved it.
The New Uptown Cafe is a well-known restaurant in the Twin Cities, famous for its tasty breakfast dishes. The Spicy Cajun Benedict is especially popular, made with house-made andouille sausage and perfectly cooked poached eggs. The hash browns, also prepared in-house, are praised for their crispy texture. The restaurant provides a cozy and clean environment with friendly service. It emphasizes using high-quality ingredients, such as organic coffee. The avocado toast, a twist on the traditional Benedict, is another favorite. Customers also enjoy hearty options like the breakfast special, which includes choices like French toast, pancakes, or waffles. The pancakes are large and delicious, with some served as colossal stacks.
The food is delicious, and the cafe has a very nice, bright, and airy atmosphere. The staff, including Mia, is friendly and provides exceptional service. The location is convenient for those using public transportation. Customers highly recommend this cafe, especially the pineapple upside down pancake, which is described as enormous and really tasty. The homemade caramel pecan roll and the Ribeye Benedict are also praised for their great taste and large portions. The Uptown Burger and Thomas the Train grilled cheese with fries are excellent lunch options, and the staff is attentive and helpful, even assisting with a stroller. Overall, The New Uptown Cafe is a well-tuned operation that offers a wonderful dining experience.
