We went during the Mehretu exhibition which features many of her large works. Much of her work looks like maps with markings some monochromatic. Several videos are displayed throughout the galleries. I liked the many levels of museum displaying permanent collections. There is a rooftop patio that offers views of the Minneapolis skyline.

When in Loring Park, this gallery can really be a good option to spend time outside in the cold weather. I wish the skyline and city view were open when I visited. They have a theatre as well where some performances take place but you need to see the schedule in advance to attend it. But overall good visit and nice art to experience.
