Really flavorful Somali food. Great homely environment and the service is amazing. We got free refills on drinks too!

First time here and I was not disappointed. Even with the language barrier, the employees got me my order and the portions were huge and tasted fantastic. The atmosphere was very nice too! Everyone was just relaxing or doing their own thing. Would definitely recommend!

A neighborhood diner for the Somali community, serving up tasty food in generous portions. This was my first time dining here. Ordered 2 entrees for breakfast; scrambled eggs for breakfast and a full order of fava beans. Both orders were accompanied by injera, a soft, fried flat bread, and small sides of yogurt and tamarind sauce for dipping. Washed down with 'Somali tea', black tea flavored with cardamom and cinnamon and hot steamed milk. Show this place some love and eat here. Your tummy will thank you.

Portions were very large. We ordered the somosas, goat, chicken steak, and chicken suqaar. The goat was tender and cooked to perfection and the flavors of both chicken dishes were delicious. The mango lassi and tea with milk was perfect with the meal. It was my first time trying somali food and definitely not my last.

Not impressed with service. Too expensive for the amount of food you get served.

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. Despite placing an order over the phone 30 minutes in advance and being assured that it would be ready on arrival, I had to wait for 40 minutes while the cashier served other customers who seemed to be prioritized, even though they had ordered on the spot. I politely reminded the cashier of my order several times, but he kept insisting that it would be ready in two minutes. To make matters worse, the customers he was serving before me were people he knew personally. I eventually had to leave without my order as I was already late for work. Overall, the poor customer service and wasted time left me feeling frustrated.

The Somali lady is rude and can’t take a normal simple order.

I love Najibs (that's the owner). I go there for my breakfast, the service is great, better portions for the price and West Bank diner/Najibs as been a staple in the community. Best Somali food in Minneapolis!!!
