We were disappointed in stopping here, door said breakfast served till 11, it was 11:30 and they gave us a breakfast menu so we questioned the waitress and she said no they don't serve lunch till 12:15, we left

Stopped because I lived in Monticello and Buffalo 30 years ago while working at the nearby nuclear plant and wanted to see how things had changed. Wow, has Monticello grown! Anyway, my wife and I were hungry for breakfast, so we spotted Scotty's and stopped (Thankfully, I didn't look at the reviews here first, or we probably wouldn't have stopped). UPDATE: Returned to this corner cafe. Owner has painted the inside. Looks better. Still a strong smell of smoke entering building and just a mess of a breezeway. Still very dated on the inside but owner working on improvements. Ordered the country fried steak again. Still good, but not as good as that first time. Scrambled eggs cooked to death.
