Stopped at the Moorhead location today to pick up some hard to find speciality ingredients. La Unica didn’t have them either, but I met Carlos who offered some other suggestions. Ended up ordering some of the breakfast tacos and they were delicious! Will definitely shop there again. Very friendly and welcoming.
It had been a while since I visited La Unica in Moorhead but after a recent trip I was reminded of what a gem this place really is. The staff is so friendly and helpful (which comes in handy for a gringo like me). The upsold me a couple of breakfast tacos while I was there, and I was so glad I took advantage of that. They were phenomenal! Don't forget to make this place a regular stop!
"This place serves the best Mexican food in town—when they get it right. Unfortunately, that's only about 25% of the time. Another 25% of the time, the recipe changes, leaving you with a different and disappointing dish. And in the remaining 50%, the food is just plain bad. But when it’s good, it’s incredible—easily the best Mexican food you’ll find within 500 miles. If only they could be more consistent, this place would be unbeatable."
