“For the second year-in-a-row we've had Chef Jeff Catering at our annual Gala + Award Show. This year is was held in April at Union Depot in downtown St. Paul. We have to share that the spread of food and service was exceptional. The food was good quality. The catering staff was knowledgable about the venue location inside and out and made everything easy for us along the way.“

“-Vinai MN- My friend and I wanted to try Chef Yia's restaurant due to being homesick and wanting hmong food. We were met with such great service and sat where we could see the work area. Chef Yia was so kind and started us off with a complimentary appetizer, rice Curry balls. We ordered and the food came so fast. As soon as I took a bite, my eyes started to get teary because it tasted like food from home. I started fanning myself to not cry which Chef Yia saw and asked if the food was too spicy. We then started to explain that we were not from MN and were feeling a bit homesick and how the food reminded us of home. Chef Yia then said, here let's do this. He returned with a pot of beef soup that consisted of mushrooms, bamboo shoots, beef and green onion and white rice and shared that this dish was one of those dishes that we would eat at gathering and events. We we so shocked and so at loss with his kindness and compassion. We both took a bite and immediately lighted up. It tasted like my mom's cooking 💓. As we were nearing the end of our meal, Chef Yia told us not to stuff ourselves too full and surprised us with a complimentary dessert which further awed us. We were so lost at words for Chef Yia's kindness, generosity and comfort. We chose the Lava Cake and it was soooo good! I normally don't like sweets but we devoured this 😋. 1000/10 would recommend.“

“As a wedding planner, it's hard to know what to write about first for Fork & Flair: their delicious food or their great service. They are both wonderful! Working with Devyn is such a pleasure and my clients all appreciate her responsiveness and her explanations. On the day of the event, the staff is on point and attentive to guests needs. “We used Deco Catering for our wedding and overall had a great experience. The pasta bar was a huge hit—guests loved it, and I really appreciated that they offered gluten-free and vegan options. It came with breadsticks, salad, and protein choices, which made it feel like a complete meal. The cake was delicious, and they also offered a vegan/GF chocolate mousse that was a big success. We added three appetizers (spanakopita, bacon-wrapped dates, and potato bites with dill sour cream), all of which were quickly eaten, plus a late-night pretzel and cheese bar that everyone raved about. Leading up to the day, the company was excellent to work with—very communicative, helpful, and the tasting beforehand was such a fun, reassuring part of the process. They also went above and beyond with setup, arranging linens and folding napkins at no extra charge. That said, I do have some complaints about the day-of service. The staff on-site seemed disorganized: food came out later than planned, there was a lot of confusion around serving the vegan and GF meals, and unfortunately one of our tiramisus was never cut or served despite people asking for it. I couldn’t find anyone to help with it, and I also never got the leftovers back, so it felt like $80 wasted and such a shame because it was so tasty. We also almost didn’t get our cake leftovers returned either—it only happened because I happened to run into an attendant in the parking lot who had them (maybe in one of their cars). Despite those hiccups, the food itself was wonderful, and the planning process was smooth and stress-free. I’d still recommend Deco Catering for their creative menu options and helpful team, but I’d advise couples to be very clear about expectations for the day-of staff to avoid similar issues.“

The space was elegant, beautifully designed, and the chandeliers added a stunning touch that made the evening feel special. “Phenomenal food and a wonderful chef! We had Caribbean Kitchen cater an evening fundraiser at the Windward Fest in Wayzata last month. I was thrilled by the delicious and soulful food, including favorites like conch fritters and little key lime pie tarts. The beans and rice and the jambalaya was amazing too. I saw people going back for thirds! The chef/owner is the sweetest, kindest, most helpful guy in the world too! Highly recommend!!! ❤️❤️❤️“

“My daughter and I are acai bowl connoisseurs and have had acai bowls all over this country. We both agree that this is far and away the best we've ever had. It is the most delicious acai and the most generous amount. I always get the same thing. Classic bowl with extra peanut butter, cocoa nibs and coconut flakes added to the granola and banana. At home I add my own blueberries and strawberries. I try to limit myself to 2 or 3 a week but the cravings are powerful.“

“The doughnuts were exceptional! I ordered the french crueller and black eye cake doughnuts. I will be back! I also tried their iced mocha, it was more of a coffee than sugary drink which I am used to our americanized sugary coffee drinks which a lot of people might appreciate less sugar. It was great!“

“We had Kafe 421 do one of the dishes at our 15-year Anniversary Gala + Award Show event. This year they made Phyllo Pizza. With Sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, feta and mozzerella. Was very tasty. We recommend them for your catering needs!“

“I ordered a fudge Carmel drizzle ice cream cake for a grad party. Nothing in the middle or on the bottom. It came just plan white. I reached out and was contacted by the manager who was very nice and helped make the situation better.

“Our event at The Lumber Exchange was great! It was affordable and executed efficiently! The event coordinator communicated often and was so friendly. The staff working the night of the event were so nice and easy to find and talk to. We would definitely recommend hosting an event at The Lumber Exchange Center. Parking is just a little spendy.“

“Did a small trial with deli Double and loved the food, value and service. They catered a meeting and everyone loved the food. Starting with the delicious assortment of nut breads, donuts and baked treats followed by super fresh fruits. The variety of generously filled sandwiches were a big hit including the requested gluten free bread on a few and a few veggie only sandwiches. Gourmet chicken salad sandwich on croissant was amazing. The coffee stayed hot all day and still tasted good. The variety tray of bars/cookies was delicious and that baby field green salad with honey balsamic dressing was a highlight for sure! “I was driving by and did a double take when I saw their sign. I decided to stop in to see what they offered because Nigerian restaurant menus tend to vary. It’s a small carryout only spot. The woman working there was very nice and accommodating. I informed her that I’m vegan and inquired about a few of my favorite Nigerian foods: egusi, greens, jollof, and beans. She didn’t have egusi. She stated that she had greens but they’re made with fish. She then offered to make me a fresh batch sans the fish if I had time to wait. I most certainly do! It wasn’t a long wait either. I got a hefty container of food for about $15. There was enough food for 2 days (if I wasn’t being greedy).I tried my food right away. The greens were very good and clearly freshly made with quality produce. The beans were good. The jollof rice was SLAMMIN!! Perfection in the flavor department!I’m unsure how long they’ve been open, but they seem fairly new. They’re located in a strip mall with other small, locally owned businesses. Again, it’s carryout only; you cannot sit in and eat. (I ate in my car.) They also offer catering services.Be sure to check out this spot if you’re in the MSP area.
