We may have higher expectations for the food or we didn’t select the best menu items which evidently is the pork chop. At any rate we appreciated being seated by Pat and told what is good and also the history of the building.
I ordered a Cosmo but immediately knew it wouldn’t be great. It was red vs light pink. Oh well?‍♀️
Ordered popovers for the four of us. They were good. Here’s the menu items we had - the flatiron steak (chewy), shrimp scampi but must order angel hair pasta as a side otherwise it comes with nothing, the Pot Pie - very good crust but mostly vegetables and less chicken.
It was a very slow night - only 4 tables of diners. Maybe that impacts the kitchen.
We did appreciated the quiet atmosphere but not the flies that decided to dine on our food while we were eating.

We came for dinner at 8pm on a Saturday night. We were met by a hostess (who also is the owner apparently) . My friend said something like I bet you can’t wait until your shift is over so you can sit at the bar. The hostess/ owner said she sensed we had “negative energy “ and told me “don’t move”. We were told our table would be ready in “one minute” We sat at the bar but no bartender . She showed up 10 minutes later and seemed somewhat confused. We admired a bouquet made of herbs. The bartender said “It’s an onion …it’s an onion …. It’s an onion….. And a fern”. The owner told us the cook would come and give us a tour of the herb garden after we ordered . We mentioned it was dark outside . We were updated several times over 45 minutes that our table would be ready “in a minute”
We ordered 3 drinks and my friend gave the owner $40. She stared at the cash register for several minutes and gave my friend $38 in change.

Although we enjoyed ours drinks and were intrigued , after about an hour hunger got the best of us and we left.

The musician was very good.

I made a reservation weeks in advance for a bachelorette party dinner. Called the restaurant to confirm reservation a few days ahead and received confirmation. On the day of we were treated extremely poorly. We were told that they "don't have anymore food" and when I said I made a reservation weeks ago they miraculously had food in the kitchen. They didn't have the table ready. We had to wait 30 minutes to get sat, and once sat we were told it would be 45 minutes until they took our order. The waitress was so rude to everyone and clearly unhappy to be helping us. This dinner was supposed to be a happy memory and it was so bad the bride cried at dinner because of how stressful it was. Reservation was at 7pm and we didn't get out until 10pm.
I really hope this review helps other people when planning Bach parties or large group outings. Do not go here - you'll wait forever and be treated poorly, all for mediocre drinks and food.
This restaurant needs structure and to start keeping a schedule for reservations.

Me and my family made a reservation last weekend, upon arrival we got greeted by a drunk host, we learned later that it was the owner. The food was just ok for the price, we were hoping for some Summer cocktails but the drink menu wasn’t anything special. Server looked like she was having a bad time and trying to rush us. The Sherwood old fashioned was good. When we were leaving “the owner” was chugging shots in a corner and waving, which was kind of uncomfortable.

I don't know what happened to this place. It was great when it opened, but the last few attempts have been awful. There's a really loud drunk lady at the bar yelling at customers and the staff. They should ban her from the place. The food has also diminished in quality. This place should be on an episode of "Bar Rescue" or "Restaurant Impossible". They would probably still fail after everything gets fixed on the show.

We booked a specific table by the fireplace three months in advance for my birthday. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the table had been given to someone else. When we brought this to the hostess's attention, instead of apologizing and attempting to rectify the situation, she began yelling at us. Her rudeness and lack of professionalism made it the worst customer service experience we've ever had.

Wow! Great service, Amazing food, and lovely drinks. Angie & Paul do a beautiful job makong you feel and home while serving you food you probably could never make on your own. We went with our family, who loves to cook and adores good food. We have been going to the lakes area as a group for 30 years and have tried to find a place like this. It is the only place we have found that serves food and drinks of this quality. Well worth the trip!

We had a group of 10 people. The service was horrible. We ordered appetizers and we waited an hour before they told us they ran out. Then after two hours we got there they said our food would take even longer. The service was bad, we never got our food after being there for over two hours waiting for it.

Angie is absolutely awesome. The menu caters to every palate and everything we had was cooked to perfection. The service was incredible - everyone had a smiling face at all times and were very attentive. The ambiance is classy, but fun with live music. We will eat here every time we are in the area. Highly recommend the carrot cake!
