My husband and I snuck away to Nisswa for an anniversary celebration. The weather was gross (sleet and slush) so we were looking for a nice coffee shop to hunker down to read for a while. The Courtyard ended up being the perfect spot!
The songbird bagel was delicious (that mustard, WOW) and the iced Miel was to die for. We each ordered a second one for the road!
The service was top notch. The cashier was friendly, and the owner checked on us regularly, striking up a conversation about our weekend away. He even swung around again and gave us 2 cookies for the road - I can’t make this stuff up.
We will absolutely be back :)

I can’t say enough good things about The Courtyard! Their coffee is consistently excellent—smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed. It’s always a great start to my day. And their breakfast burritos? Absolutely my favorite! They’re packed with fresh ingredients, full of flavor, and always leave me satisfied.
The friendly service and cozy atmosphere make it even better. Whether I’m grabbing something to go or staying to enjoy the ambiance, it’s always a great experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

I bought a NYC bagel sandwich and a regular coffee and it was amazing!! The coffee is so good and the sandwich was even better. Definitely will be back and couldn’t recommend the visiting here more!

Absolute 10/10. We come to Nisswa a few times a year and this will be our coffee stop every trip moving forward. Great coffee (even the oat milk lattes are so good — something many coffee shops struggle getting right), great sandwiches/breakfast, and delicious baked goods. Atmosphere was cool and the outdoor patio was a bonus. This is a must stop spot in Nisswa!

We needed a quick breakfast before walking the nearby trails. We ordered ahead online. The food was ready before the estimated time. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the breakfast sandwiches were, with my partner even claiming it might have been the best breakfast sandwich they've ever had. Our picture won't do the food justice. The restaurant also has plenty of outdoor seating, and the staff was friendly.

All the food we ordered was great! Our favorite was the breakfast burrito but we also tried the avocado toast, a breakfast bagel sandwich, and the yogurt bowl. You can’t go wrong with any of those! The maple latte also hit the spot on a chilly fall morning.

They had messed up my order. When I told them the waitress was so sweet about it. They corrected my order and gave me a free cookie for the inconvenience. Definitely recommend!

For the most part, this place is a lovely breakfast stop. The atmosphere is good, and the coffee/food came out fairly quickly. However, my sister has an allergy to nuts and when she ordered the açaí bowl (the one with bananas, blackberries and chocolate chips- I tried to find the name on the menu online but there seems to be a problem on the site displaying it) without the almond drizzle, we weren’t informed that the granola also had almonds in it. When the bowl came out, she realized that almonds were inside it and talked to the staff about exchanging it for a granola-free version. The staff did not refund us, and made us pay for a second bowl. It would be appreciated if the Courtyard could mark which food items contained nuts for those with allergies, so this could be avoided in the future. Otherwise, stopping here was a good experience- the burrito in particular was delicious!

Beautiful location, lots of seating. Friendly staff, just need some improvement on their systems. Each order was taking a long time. I thought I would try the brewed coffee on my first visit. My coffee tasted like water. Really wanted to give this beautiful place a five star review. I think things will improve with time and feedback, and turn the 4 stars into 5.
