What a fantastic place! This old log lodge is amazing! The area around the lodge is beautiful. The lodge, itself, is pretty amazing. As for the restaurant, super! Wonderful environment and great food... and the prices are super reasonable. You can’t come to Itasca State Park and not visit the Douglas Lodge, the restaurant, and the property surrounding the lodge. You will be glad that you did.
We make it a point to stop here when we head Up North! A great restaurant with even better food. Atmosphere is enjoyable and headed out for a hike before or after makes the day awesome. Grab a fishing pole while you wait to get seated and they give you a buzzer to enjoy some time outside! The gift shop across the road makes it for a great day!
