What a fun find! Heading to Pequot Lakes for the weekend, found this wonderful stop for coffee on the way. Delicious, clean, and cozy. The people working were helpful and friendly.

The coffee is fine, a bit weak but I hear others are a big fan of their frappes and flavored drinks. They have excellent breakfast sandwiches! Not a bad stop if you are going through Pillager. This is a cozy and fun shop. Plus a the service is always done with a smile!

First time here and very disappointed. Paid about $80 tonight to try something new and didnt get what we paid for.Watched them microwave frozen pouches of Mac and cheese that tastes just like boxed Mac and cheese. The chips we got were 6-8 little chips.My son's quesadilla was sooooo flat with hardly anything in it (had to add more cheese when we got home). Our sandwiches had 2 very thinly sliced pieces of meat (which was heated with kruat in the microwave).....way more kruat and bread then meat. Not to mention that I waited 30 minutes to get our food. The young lady making food was slow and acted lost and like she didn't know what she was supposed to do.

Great experience at this location. Friendly staff, good food and drinks. They make all of their food in house not frozen and reheated, this being said you can actually customize your breakfast. This is a breath of fresh air for people with allergies.
The workers were really nice, and could answer all of my questions no problem. The coffee there is also good and cheap, I'd recommend this place.

I was visiting my mother that lives in the area and she suggested The Shante for our group to get a bite to eat. We walked in and two girls were working. We were ignored for several minutes then finally one of the girls acknowledged us. My sister asked to see the champagne list and was abruptly told that the bottles were displayed in front of her. It was all wine bottles so she asked again and the girl spoke to her in such a demeaning manner that we all agreed to find another spot. We had been looking forward to trying based on great reviews but if you are traveling through or visiting I would skip based on customer service.
