“Came in for a light bite and ordered the prime rib nachos. They were easily some of the best nachos I’ve had in the area. My dining partner and I split them, and they were more than filling enough for both of us. The prime rib was incredibly tender and packed with flavor.

Service was very fast and attentive, though at times it felt like the staff was almost running away before I could get a word in.

Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back.”

“Best food in central MN. Chef Jeff Garlie is an outstanding cook. I should know, he was my Mentor and inspiration before I went to Chef School. Hes not that bad of a fisherman either.”

“We went to Sunshine’s for supper Wednesday night and had the pizza. It was the best ever. I usually don’t eat the crust but this crust was tender and good. Looking forward to our next visit.”

“The hotel is really nice. Sympathetic staff willing to help. A special shout out to the Recreation Manager that went above and beyond to assure the kids club could still run by the end of the summer. The hotel offers a good variety of activities. My suggestions for improvement: 1) although the rooms are very clean and well maintained, the age can’t be disguised… it desperately needs an update/ remodelling!! 2) game room is also very poor in offerings, 3) I think the guest experience can be upgraded with more offerings in activities, like Zumba or gym or any sports lessons available for guest.. I mean, the daily programming could be richer. Apart from that, restaurant prices are very expensive!!! Rooms could offer more structure for inside cooking (just more space, plates and silverware would already help).”

“ONLY reason I am not giving a full 5 stars is because the band took up half the dining room area and we had to maneuver a lot of tables and chairs. Not a big deal but it was not as comfortable as I know it is when the patio outside is open!

I love the outside patio in the summer time! It’s right on the lake and the scenery is beautiful and typically on weekends there is entertainment. Absolutely perfect!

The walleye strips? (I honestly forgot the name on the menu) but they came with fries and the fish was delicious! The breading wasn’t too heavy and it was seasoned well!

The baked Brie 👌🏼 perfection to die for!

And finally the Cajun “boil” came with crab leg muscles clams and shrimp. This was so good. It has a bit of a Cajun kick and the crab leg was cooked very very well.

The atmosphere here is normally really nice so I won’t say anything bad for the one time it was a little chaotic.

Now for the service. I wish I could remember our servers name. She was soo sweet and on top of everything! She did a wonderful job.”

“We had a family birthday lunch sitting outside. The view was perfect as was the service. Ellie was our server and did an amazing job. We all ate Walleye either as an appetizer or taco.”
