Spice level 1 is truly not spicy, but they have a scale from 1-7 for their levels of heat. Samosas were excellent, as well as all the other dishes. The eggplant is awesome and can be ordered hot. The menu also has a nice variety. The decor is fresh and new, and the ambience is perfect. They offer a great selection of curries and you can order by spice level. The dosa was exciting and tasty. The restaurant has become a regular spot for many, with consistently great food and friendly staff. Although most choose take-out, the restaurant is always clean, bright, and pleasant. The kitchen ensures the dishes have authentic flavor, especially the north Indian dishes, which taste just as they should. Vegetarian options are plentiful and always satisfying, with no skimping on heat if requested. Overall, Clay Oven provides great food and service, making it worth return trips.
