Had the shrimp baskets with onion rings and fries. They were good. I especially liked that the shrimp were not fried overdone but still moist. Service wad just as good as the food. DO wish they served unsweetened tea but still a great little side stop.
It's now changed owners and the name is now PETE AND HANKS COUNTRY CAFE in Red Lake Falls, MN. Conveniently located inside the Cenex Gas Station coming into town on 32 off of hwy 2. Short 10 minute drive. I had their breakfast along with a Carmel roll which is AMAZING. I told my husband about this hidden gem and we went for a Sunday lunch meal and the special was bacon crusted meatballs, mash potatoes and gravy, peas, roll and a dish of ice cream. It’s nothing fancy, just tables in a gas station. Food was ok, nothing special, nothing fresh, waitresses were nice, food was slow and over priced-but there is no place else to eat breakfast on a Saturday morning.
