“I have been eating frequently at Athens Cafe for many years. Usually I order & pick up. My grandkids favorite meal is the big chicken salad, and their cheese burger & fries are delicious too. My family loves their food. Prices are reasonable.“

“Wow! This place is amazing! My husband got the street doner wrap and I got the Apollo style doner wrap - and both were fabulous. We also shared the fiery feta fries which were outstanding - the whipped feta cannot be beat. The rice side was a great add. No complaints for our first time visiting, only savory, delicious tastes in our mouths as we left! We visited around 6:30p-7p on a Friday and it was busy! But it’s easy to see why at first bite. We’ll be back and we highly recommend!“

“Shout out to Christos Greek Restaurant and love to Gus, a truly amazing person who has kept this wonderful landmark alive and well for so many years! We have never had more delicious food anywhere! My choice was the lamb shank which was cooked to perfection, so tender it fell off the bone and didn't need a knife. Dessert for me was the mousse au chocolat (always) and having tried it at every restaurant that offers it, Christos will never be outdone. It should be mentioned that the salads are always made with what our daughter calls "happy veggies," always fresh and beautiful! the soups are all wonderfully special and "home made" as well. No one comes even close to the love and care that goes into this dining piece of heaven. Enjoying your delectable meal at Christos feels as good as a warm hug from your mom. “Really nice classic Greek spot. It’s been in the same place in Minneapolis downtown since 1990 and the food shows. Not only that, the person who set it up still cooks and serves the food. Quality food in a nice cozy spot. You can’t go wrong with it if you’re just looking for a quick lunch while you’re in Downtown.Vegetarian options: There is falafel“

“I ordered take out while I was working. After getting it back I realized they had forgotten my baklava order. I called them to ask if I could pick it up soon and they had it ready the second I walked in a couple hours later, along with a second one for free. Excellent customer service and the food was DELICIOUS. I had the falafel pita and it was so fresh.“

“I wasn’t planning to go here as I was driving on Central Avenue near Fridley. I was actually going to one of my favorite Korean restaurants about half a mile up. As I was driving, I a saw a big tent and a crowd of people. So I flipped around and wanted to check this place out. Looks like they were celebrating Ramadan. I’m glad I saw this place because the food was delicious ?The lamb, beef kabobs, kofta, fresh tabouli and hummus were amazing. There were a lot of other food that I don’t know the names but were equally yummy. It was crazy busy but I think it was because of the celebration they were having.“

“I visited spicy feta for the first time today and I had an amazing experience. Although I was only taking-out, I had an opportunity to talk and look over the menu with an employee, explaining what each item was and what it had on it. I never eaten here before so I didn’t know what to expect, but both the people I talked to were extremely helpful. I ended up getting the Naughty Greek wrap with a side of fries. It was almost a Mediterranean burrito style wrap, the chicken, Shawarma was super juicy and flavorful, and it paired well with the veggies,feta, and Taziki. The only thing I didn’t like about my wrap is I asked for no olives and there was olives, however it was still delicious. The fries are light and airy, but super crispy and seasoned perfectly with a savory salty spice blend. One of the people I talk to let me sample out their lemonades, and help me decide which one I wanted. They were very patient and helpful and I will returning back soon.“

“EAT HERE!!! Everything we ate was 10/10. I love greek food, and if you wanna branch out from gyros and falafal this is the place.We had an amazing valentines dinner here. While the food and service were outstanding, the small number of seats made it a challenge to find a comfortable spot to enjoy my meal. I would highly recommend New York Gyro for takeout or delivery if you're unable to secure a table.Overall, my experience at New York gyro was nothing short of delightful.
