Had some hits and misses with food this time. Sadly the bottom of my Brie cheese on the duck dish was burnt black!! I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth fast enough. It NEVER should have come out of the kitchen that way. They did give me a new plate but the duck was overcooked and very dry on the second go around. I'm not sure if it was the first duck that they just kept warm or a new one. Either way I wasn't impressed. The lobster bisque was very good and the mussels were good too. The fish special was fishy and while my husband was told there would be lots of kale on the dish he couldn't find it anywhere. Service was only ok; we've had better there in the past. So, hit or miss but more misses this time.

The decor of the restaurant is very nice. Our service was good. My wife and I shared the calamari appetizer, which was very good. My wife had the eggplant which she said was OK. The chef chooses to leave the skin on the eggplant which we are not a big fan of. I had the duck which I ordered because the picture posted online by the restaurant looked very good. The photo depicted several slices of duck. Unfortunately, the actual meal did not resemble the photo that this restaurant publishes. My piece of duck was very small (maybe 2” x 3 1/2“) and about 1 inch thick. The fatty skin that was left on the duck took up 1/4 of the thickness of the duck. Also, I did not like what this meal was served with, which was some sort of a lettuce and vegetable mixture with too many onions. For the price they charged, I feel that the duck entree should have three or four pieces of duck, like what is depicted in their online photo. Overall, our experience was OK, but I feel this restaurant is overpriced.

Thank you for excellent food and service. The menu had a wide variety of options to suit everyone. The server was very attentive and helped give an insight into the food options. Very Best to all the staff there.

We'll go back for sure, but it's a 3 for a reason. Cocktails excellent! Oysters were very fresh. Duck drummies were cooked then fried with a nice sauce and sesame seeds for a Korean type vibe, great flavor, just a little over cooked for us. Lobster bisque had nice flavor, would've preferred a pieces of lobster for the price, but it was very good. We split the Waygu steak after heavy app's. This was a hard miss. It was overcooked (we ordered med rare) and full of gristle. Not marbled, not a good piece of meat for $60, not remotely close to Waygu. We tried a few glasses of wine. All pretty good and nice price points. We also had the sorbet which was excellent. I had an old fashioned. Solid balanced cocktail, would've preferred a cherry, but would for sure order again. Service and ambiance was excellent. We'll go back for sure.

Was EXTREMELY excited for the opportunity to check this place out as I had heard great things. That being said, the food was tasty, elite flavor experience to be sure, but I just can’t get behind the portion size given the price tag. I left desiring more in my belly which you hate to see. Great drinks though. In conclusion, wasn’t all that impressed but would give it another chance

Great dinner, awesome Service. Even accommodated our picky 8 year old with some buttered pasta.

As always, Bleu Duck did not disappoint. It's always fun to come back when they have changed their menu to see what our next favorite dish might be. Their food is always flavorful and in appropriate portions. It's enough that you still feel ready for the next course, but still feel like you had plenty of the course you just finished. Not to mention they have the best Old Fashioned in Rochester. If we want a guaranteed great meal and a fun evening, we always head to Bleu Duck.

Food was excellent and nicely presented. However, beware that a 3% charge is added if using a credit card which was not mentioned before presenting the check. Also, a 50 cent charge is placed on our bill because my husband requested a large ice cube for his cocktail. Again, with no mention prior to receiving the check. Either charge is not a big deal but annoying especially if you don't expect it.

Disappointed experience.
We were there for Tuesday date night, we ordered a duck and a pork belly. Pork belly looked like one sold in Costco, and it was kind of tasteless,  just edible. As for the duck, I was told that duck should be 6 ounces, when they brought it out, it was at maximum 4 ounces. It was barely warm and absolutely bland, I had to add tons of salt and pepper. Served with burned piece of Brie as a side, and Maraschino cherries, as a cheap, fast food version of a duck sauce. I love to cook a duck, and usually sauce is made with fresh or frozen cherries, butter, honey, spices,  simmered in red wine. I have no idea why this place is popular, but for the price you pay, you get tiny portions, underseasoned food and cheap substitutes. Best part of our experience was a bardender Corbin, with a great welcoming personalty.

Our server, Madeline, was smiling, friendly and took very good care of us. Oyster night options were fun. Dinner was beautiful and delicious. Especially loved the duck with cherries.

The best thing was the calamari The wine was expensive and not very good. The food wasn't as good as my first visit. The atmosphere was beautiful and our server was very good.

Everything about BD is excellent! Jennifer, an owner greeted us at the door & shared some history & laughs, and Nikki our server was wonderful. Tuesday Date night pairing was fun & an excellent value. We found ourselves laughing with Nikki & taking it all in for nearly 3 hours. Cheers!
