Delicious food. Great service and ambience. Same caliber as Minneapolis/St.Paul restaurant. One of our favorite places in Rochester.
Our server was amazing. Fun and enthusiastic. Probably some of the best food and service we have had anywhere. All of her recommendations were absolutely great. Would definitely come back again.
The top restaurant in Rochester hands down. The thought and effort made to create such delicious unique dishes will bring one back over and over to see what is newly crafted in the kitchen. Wait staff is attentive especially if Alicia is your server. The setting is intimate and inviting. Never feels like a restaurant where they are trying to crowd in as many people as possible with a predictable menu. If you truly want all the best a dining experience can offer this should be your first choice.
The food and atmosphere always deliver here. The oysters were fresh and amazing! Drinks are flavorful, and the main courses are excellent! It's always a joy dining here!
Our four-course New Year's Eve dinner was wonderful, and if this is offered again, we'll be back!
A perfect place for New Years...I am not sure what dish was my favorite! Every dish, from the steamed bun, bisque, scallops and steak was uniquely composed. The highlight though was the sticky toffee pudding for dessert! Bleu Duck is our favorite "go to" restaurant. We are looking to dining there in 2026! And, I cannot leave this review without mentioning that the wait staff is phenomenal!
The service was wonderful. Everyone was very attentive and provided everything that we needed and more.
We LOVED the restaurant. Only issue is that they charged 20% auto grat without telling us. Party of 5 which is not a “large” party IMO and even so, they should point that out. I tipped over 20% (as is my norm) without noticing. Just put a damper on what was a great evening. Felt like we were taken advantage of and that's a bummer. Great restaurant though
This was not my first visit to the Bleu Duck, and my opinion remains the same. We decided to try the Tuesday “date night” special. The food was great, the selected house wines (included in the date night special) were a perfect match. The service was impecable. We were there at 7pm and things were starting to slow down, so the noise level was acceptable for a nice conversation. We will be back.
Lovely restaurant and attentive service. This time it felt like less attention to detail on sides, but overall tasty. Green salad was excellent. Not the typical dinner I expect here.

This is the second time I dined here anytime I come to Rochester. This will be a must have reservation. The cocktails are unique and thoroughly amazing. My husband had the pork belly, succulent and crispy at the same time on a bed of sweet squash decadent to say the least I had the Ramen seafood which included Burundi shrimp, clams, and cod with a sweet can of coconut and curry carrier. We had a wonderful salad which included grill, squash, pears, walnuts, and blue cheese. Absolutely delicious. Must order if you find it on the menu.
Had some hits and misses with food this time. Sadly the bottom of my Brie cheese on the duck dish was burnt black!! I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth fast enough. It NEVER should have come out of the kitchen that way. They did give me a new plate but the duck was overcooked and very dry on the second go around. I'm not sure if it was the first duck that they just kept warm or a new one. Either way I wasn't impressed. The lobster bisque was very good and the mussels were good too. The fish special was fishy and while my husband was told there would be lots of kale on the dish he couldn't find it anywhere. Service was only ok; we've had better there in the past. So, hit or miss but more misses this time.
The decor of the restaurant is very nice. Our service was good. My wife and I shared the calamari appetizer, which was very good. My wife had the eggplant which she said was OK. The chef chooses to leave the skin on the eggplant which we are not a big fan of. I had the duck which I ordered because the picture posted online by the restaurant looked very good. The photo depicted several slices of duck. Unfortunately, the actual meal did not resemble the photo that this restaurant publishes. My piece of duck was very small (maybe 2” x 3 1/2“) and about 1 inch thick. The fatty skin that was left on the duck took up 1/4 of the thickness of the duck. Also, I did not like what this meal was served with, which was some sort of a lettuce and vegetable mixture with too many onions. For the price they charged, I feel that the duck entree should have three or four pieces of duck, like what is depicted in their online photo. Overall, our experience was OK, but I feel this restaurant is overpriced.
Thank you for excellent food and service. The menu had a wide variety of options to suit everyone. The server was very attentive and helped give an insight into the food options. Very Best to all the staff there.
