Absolutely a fantastic experience. The food and service was incredible. That atmosphere was contagiously upbeat and positive. Loved the whole experience. Thank you

Opentable Diner

I have been to Blue Duck many times and always praised the place to anyone who would listen but suspect it might be starting to lose its charm. Went with a friend to celebrate a birthday. The host was very rude. First he didn't even acknowledged our existence and kept talking to some other people. Fine you are busy, a little weird but tolerable. Then he looked at us and said hi and waited for us to speak instead of asking us any questions. Said the table is not ready, looking at the tables by the wall where people were obviously still were dining. Then the phone rang, he picked it up and went into the full conversation with someone...seriously? So rude and inconsiderate. Just tell us the table will be ready in X minutes and suggest to have a drink at the bar so we don't have to stand there in that tiny entryway. We were standing there literally waiting for him to finish his chat...Once we finally said we are going to wait at the bar. 5 minutes later they gave us some weird spare table that was clearly empty when we walked in as it was directly behind the host stand, and besides me requesting in the reservation that it was a birthday dinner, didn't even bring a candle...too disappointing for $200 dinner. Beets and Tomatoes were delicious but the main dish was very dry...$40 lamb was very underwhelming and overcooked.

I loved the ambiance, food, and service! I truly appreciate the last-minute accommodation and the flexibility with the kids' menu — it made our visit even more enjoyable.

Food was fabulous (Wed night oyster special, beet salad, steelhead entre, and lemon raspberry cake). Perfect summer meal...light & fresh but filling. And service was even better. Very knowledgable, attentive without overbearing, friendly. One of the best overall meals we've had in a long time.

The Bleu Duck was amazing! I had the beet salad & the steelhead and both were fantastic. My husband had the Cornish hen & it was delicious as well. The chocolate torte was rich & delicious!! Highly recommend

This was a great place to enjoy a dinner. The ambience, along with the food and service, paired great and it was an exceptional time for my wife and I to enjoy each others company. The staff was very knowledgeable and was able to recommend some of the best dishes for us. I look forward to going back!

Just a weekend visit ... this place is a keeper. From the moment we walked in, everything was top notch. Darrin (I think that was his name) was an excellent server. Kudos to him on the wine recommendation. A must-get item is the bone marrow tartar. Loved the kale salad too. Husband devoured the beet salad. Go for the steelhead. No room for dessert. Will recommend to anyone traveling to the area.

Busy night, which is cool, but it was so noisy you could not hear the person across the table. The calamari was ok, but beet salad tasted like they were from Trader Joe's, not bad, just not worth $14. The steak was uneatable. So tough it could barely be cut and the brussel sprouts raw. They didn't charge me for the steak, but I left hungry and totally disappointed. Will not go back, sorry to say!

We hosted a brunch in their private space, planned from out of town. Wonderful communication throughout the process. Venue was great, food was wonderful, service was very accommodating. Guests were very happy.

The food was fresh and delicious. We had the kale salad and the beet starter which were both fresh, light and satisfying. The basil dressing on the kale was super flavorful and a nice change of pace from the typical kale dressings. I had the market special grouper and my hubby had the waigu steak. Make sure to order it fairly rare, as the chef recommends. Both entrees were remarkable and I'd order them again. The dessert- well, if I had one suggestion it would be this: DO NOT MISS OUT ON DESSERT. We had the caramel layer cake and the ube tres leches cake and they were both some of the best things I've ever eaten. So yes, we really enjoyed it.

Bleu Duck was a great experience! The food options were creative and delicious. I had the beet and goat cheese salad and Pork Shank with slaw and beans. The mix of flavors were a perfect picnic throwback. My husband had the shrimp app with avocado and jalapeño and the fish pot pie. It was more like f a creamy fish stew and he loved it. Excellent food, wine and ambience.

Food was amazing, and the service was thoughtful and considerate. It was a great experience for us, that could have been bad, when my husband became ill. Everyone just quietly and efficiently helped cover his distress, and turned a difficult time into one where we felt cared for and acknowledged with empathy. Wonderful food and kindness, when he was feeling embarrassed is a great skill. It says so much about them. Go for the food. Enjoy the ambience and know there is empathy.
