It was GREAT the service was great, the food was fenomenal, and some one invited me and my friend to go play cards in the back. I will go back.

Really happy with my visit to Nile Restaurant & Café | East African Cuisine. The drinks were excellent and everything was reasonably priced. Every dish came out hot and tasted homemade. Highly recommend it and I'll be back for sure.

I ordered food from here for the first time today through DoorDash. It was absolutely delicious! The proportions were also much more than I expected. I got the tuna sambusa. It was a little on the spicy side for my delicate pallet but very tasty. I also got the chicken naan quesadillas. They were the absolute best. Soft, meaty, and cheesy. Just what I wanted. All and all I would absolutely order from here again.

Visited this restaurant on 4/3/2025 after a disappointing experience at Al Madina.
I ordered the rice with goat plate, which came with goat meat chunks, fried mixed vegetables, fried onions, and a few French fries.

The dish overall was flavorful—especially the rice and fried vegetables, which stood out. Unfortunately, the goat meat was dull, lacking flavor, and tasted old—possibly due to being frozen for too long.

Service remains poor, and the seating situation is uncomfortable. This restaurant, like Al Madina, has potential but continues to struggle with basic customer experience.

I Really enjoyed this place, I ordered food to come to Owatonna, and I have never eaten anything like it, period. I also eaten it alongside ten other people, who all equally enjoyed the food, thanks, and I will hopefully come again.

Several weeks ago I stopped in for the first time to see what the offered, and the person working had me try something I had never eaten before. It was good. Last week was my birthday and a friend was treating me to lunch and I picked this place to try.The person taking our orders at the counter didn't speak English, (which by itself isn't so bad, we just pointed at pictures) the frustrating thing was that everything we tried to order (4 different menu items) they did have.In the end we left disappointed and went to have pizza.
