Love the meat raffle and horse racing

Oct/23 we recently ate there and the food was okay, its bar food. The prices are way out of line foe what you can get elsewhere. They have a hotel next door and I think even those people now go elsewhere.

I attend a weekly meeting at the VFW and love the setting. Service is great, food is hot and plenty of parking. Also easy to get to off of the highway. Kristin and Cindel are the best!

I was suffering stage 4 cancer and treated at Mayo clinic. Vfw cafe was by hotel. I was in after each surgery and was treated beyond excellence by staff and customers. One customer even brought me in a home made pastry. After my surgeries i was at vfw cafe and with so many vets that i sure as hell couldnt complain about my injuries. Im still fighting but back at my California estate. Thanks to all that were there for me. I cried on a nice ladies shoulder. The clients and staff were my family. I miss the pasta fettucini special. God bless

Food was ok. I had the French dip and tater tots. The food was ok. The au jus was delicious. Tater tots were ok. I found the prices were too high. The sandwich was a very small portion of roast beef on a small, 5-6 inch unimpressive white roll; half the $15.99 price would have been fair. Service was friendly. Ambiance was ok. I wouldn't go back.

Fast lunch service at 1PM. I had the French Dip w/ Steak Fries (perfect) and the Bone in Wings w/Scorpion Sauce (not hot for spicy lovers). Wings were cooked perfect. If you want a tangy sauce the Buffalo sauce may be a better option. Server Torrie K did a great job and didn't ask how I was doing while my mouth was full. Bill was with a Diet Coke and 22% tip $31.56

Delicious food and great service! We had a large employee meal order and they delivered for us …with all of the names on the boxes…and it was accurate and extra things were included we didn’t think of. Bravo and highly recommended!! Thank you VFW!

Staff always seem happy to be there and welcoming even to out of towers like my wife and I. Regulars are friendly and entertaining: ). Food is always solid. We visit when we're in town for med checkups, and somehow, we always end up here for at least one dinner during our trip. 'I can't believe I want to go to a VFW for dinner' is a comment I always seem to make when we're in town. Not that Rochester is flush with fine dining, but there are a good number of other choices. If you're in town and want a solid bar and grill, go there.

chicken was super undercooked and the server that I had I could barely understand a word she was saying (slurring her words etc) don't recommend

Special thanks to Eileen and the bar manager, I missed her name. I was there tonight and had been crying. She noticed and I said I just needed a minute to decide. I explained that I had a horrible experience earlier at another restaurant and that the bar manager had yelled at me, called me a liar and threatened me with trespassing when I inquired about waiting an hour for some chicken nuggets. My fellow Veterans compted my burger, which was amazing and we enjoyed some karaoke. They expressed their empathy and were wonderful. Then, tonight I saw a fellow Veteran at the store with his dog and I overheard him saying he had a long walk home. I immediately payed it forward and offered him a ride home and made a new friend. Thank God for our Veterans.

Did you know you can go to the VFW even if you're not a member? You can! We had a retirement party there last night, and the whole staff was so helpful and accommodating. Everyone had a great time because the fast service. My food was very good and super reasonable.

There food has always been very good. But they just changed their cheese curds to cube shapped ones and they are slimey and not appetizing.

Mike's Complete Piano Nadeau
